HCG 500iu in one shot..

Well i started my 500iu HCG twice per week today.. Only prob was my needle only holds 300iu.. So i had to use 2 needles and give myself 2 shots which wasnt a big deal but just more work than id prefer to have to do if i can get a bigger needle.. Do they make them? I suppose i could have waited to ask the pharmacy tomorrow but figd id bug u guys until i get another real problem.. LOL

What size needle/syringe are you using? How did you mix your HCG ? Most people only do 250iu 3x a week but even that with a little insulin syringe it's only up to the 1st full mark I think. A full syringe would be WAY to much?

If you got in a 5000 mg vial and mixed it with 10 cc ba water 1cc (full insulin syringe) would be 500mg
If you had one of real small insulin syringes that only hold .5cc then it's 250mg

Again, how did you mix yours that your syringe only hold 350mg?

I didnt mix my hcg .. It comes premixed from a compounding pharm.. They give me a vial and syringes and told me to fill the syringe to the "25 mark"... For 250iu

The syringe only goes up to "30"...

That was fine when i was doing 250iu.. But now im doing 500iu.. I suppose ill just call them today

You can get 31g 1/2" .5 cc needles.

If you are mixing it yourself, you can make it any strength you want but sounds like yours is premixed.

Your needles hold .3 ccs. 1cc=1ml. Most insulin needles are around .5 ml or .5 ccs or less.

The math is quite simple actually.

Say you have 5k units 10 ml HCG

Thats 500 units per ml or 250 units per .5 ml or 125 units per .25 cc.

500units x .3 ml = 150 units per injection if using a .3 cc needle.

To get 250 units per 25 mark (im guessing thats .25 ml or cc) you will need double the strength of hcg or 10k units per 10 ml vial, 1k units per ml.

Basically you should be injecting .5 ccs now just to get 250 units of HCG at the concentration you are using.

well i told my doc i thought at 250iu my nuts seemd smaller than they were.. i dont know if its in my head or not but they feel a bit smaller.. he said increase dose from 250iu to 500iu twice per week

i suppose i could do 300 .. 3 x/week? would make it easier anyways cuz my syringe holds 300 units max..

I thought I heard 500 was the highest recommended. He could do 250 eod, that would be 750 one week 1000 hte next, so slightly lower than 500 twice a week.
