first time protocal questions
These were my stats when I visited the Dr.
Testostron 207 nd/dl (348-1197)
Free T 5.7 pg/ml (6.8 - 21.5)
LH 4.5 miu/ml (1.6 - 8.6)
Estradiol 17.8 pg/ml (7.6 - 42.6)
shbg 29.2 nmol/l (16.5 - 55.9)
Cortisol 19.5 ug/dl (2.3 - 19.4)
He prescribed 150mg test per week and then an anti estrogen and HCG to begin in about 3 weeks. My questions is 150mg too much? I want to get to some good numbers but down't want to over do it. Should I be taken HCG and anti estrogen before later BW?
Thanks Much

150mg is a fairly high starting dose. Most, scratch that, almost all docs titrate up as opposed to down. There are a multitude of reasons for this.
Is he a specialist in male HRT?
Not everyone needs an AI. Even if your estradiol doubles it's still not even close to above range.
And ask him, why he is adding HCG before you know how you feel on the T alone?
Expert Dr Crisler adds one drug at a time, and many other respected docs do this as well. I say the less drugs the better.

I thought so on the 150mg from reading on this site.
The Doc was at a wellness clinic and does harmone treatment only.
The Hcg was offered when I showed some interest in not having my boy's shrink.
Should I start at 100mg per week and wait on the AI?
Should I wait on the HCG and see if my boys hold up?
Is there a typical protocal that tends to be the best for most and require the least tweeking?
Thanks much

Your LH appears to be pretty decent (not low, but not overly high either), possibly indicating your condition to be primary. If this is the case, then HCG won't do much for your testicles.
We're all different, but just to give a comparison, my LH (I think) was at 1.9 when I first got diagnosed, and my total serum level was a little higher than yours.
Maybe talk to your doctor a little bit about this and get his take on why the LH is OK, but the testicles aren't responding. Might be worth a closer look just to be sure. All HCG will do is mimic LH ... It doesn't look like the testes are fully responding to that particular protein hormone. I'm also curious what your FSH panel looks like, and if there's any significant variances?

There is a typical protocol, but the best answer here is that we don't know what is best for you.
If he wanted to start you on HCG and T at the same time then I would say 100mg would be a fair starting dose. You likely influenced his decision to add the HCG right away because you can expect to your balls to shrink.
I wouldn't add an AI until your first follow up blood work at 4 weeks.
Expert Dr Crisler, when he uses HCG, typically does it at 250-500 IU both days before a shot (if you shoot once a week).

I didn't see FSH but seen Tsh on my pannel
TSH 1.630 uiu/ml (.450 - 4.50)
T4 8.1 ug/dl (4.5-12)
T3 37% (24-39)
Free Thyroxine 3.0 (1.2 - 4.9)
Any thoughts on an AI as well?
Thanks Much

ai shouldn't be used imo unless it really is needed. depending on the person, they could take 150 mg a week and not need any ai, so it is something you will have to try with blood work to figure out what is right for you.

IMO, your E2 is too low right now to think about any AI's. Agree with "hrt" that you should probably wait til your follow up labs are completed before making a move on a AI.

edwardk - It appears to me that you have a Physician that has some understanding as to what he's doing so it's probably in your best interest to follow his care unless you piss him off and go off on your own based on members good intention responses here.
I personally don't think 150 mg of Test is too much based on your panels to start out for the first 6 weeks of so.
Your Doc has no problem prescribing hCG (as opposed to other members here who have to get down on hand and knees can't get their Doc's to prescribe) so he has some understanding.
Stick with what your Medical Doctor's protocol for now and keep us posted on outcome as time goes along...you'll get great feed back.

I wish I had your doctor. It's much easier to cut something out like the AI than it is to try to talk them into adding it in most cases. Mine wont even think about HCG or AI. yes I'm shopping for a new doc.
