Since this is a TRT forum... perhaps you are interested in that area especially. In that case, you could test your bioavailable testosterone , free testosterone, and SHBG.
Otherwise, your total T is probably not the cause of your low mood/energy.

Would have loved to see Estradiol (Sensitive assay) and Cortisol along with Progesterone.
See the sticky on blood work that you really need to get a better picture.
As noted, Free and BioAvail are important.
Thyroid looks good as well.
How's life in general? Stress levels higher than usual? Sleep?
Any other symptoms you're not used to feeling?

Many thanks for the responses. I am 42 BTW and usually train 3 times a week.
I checked out Free-T last year and it came in mid range. Although I didn't test it this week, my total T was dead on what it was a year ago. I'm guessing psychological factors, stress etc, lack of sleep and too many stims (particularly coffee). I've tried to boost general "wellness" with Natty T boosters but in general I found with all the brands the elevated BP, thermo and palps I got with them offset the gym benefits.
Cheers again

Yea, what I thought; we all go through cycles like this in life.
Lifestyle changes are the only thing that can have the best impact on results...but as you know that easier said than done.
Stress has been my best friend since I can remember as a child. I do some things to manage it like training and a few Vodka Tonic or two each night...kid you not...it really works and my Doc is totally okay with it. I don't get drunk or anything like that; more like my wind down time and I really look forward to it. Vodka is the easiest liquor on the liver and I use diet tonic so no carbs or calories.
Give it some time Vic, you'll be okay and have peace in knowing that you are a healthy man!

we havent brought this up in a long time..
not saying he NEEDS trt but for the purpose of discussion..
we used to say patient A had high test levels say close to 1,000 most of his life, then in his 40's persay, he declines to mid range say like the op here....could his symptoms warrant trt say if his sleep is good etc. no other reason he shouldnt be kickin ass if healthy everywhere else? i know we on TRT dont shoot for mid range numbers...
well...food for thought..
either way op ...welcome, and hope you find the answer

Great question J!
I think if a man who natually lived at the upper 10% of the reference range and then dropped 50% (now mid range) would present with many (if not all) of the symptoms of hypogonadism.
Think of it like this; if a man lived at the mid range most of his life then suddenly dropped 50% to the bottom of the reference range we'd all pretty much bet the house he'd present all the symptoms and be an ideal TRT candidate.
I think the same can be said for the former as well as the later.
Note: This is a generalized statement and there are ton of other variables (like age) that could go to disprove the position but it's something I have thought of in the past and have heard and read the same by TRT Physicians.
