    First quad injection

Well, my wife usually stabs my glutes, but she's been in the hospital for a few days with pneumonia. So rather than miss a shot I watched a couple videos, got my 25 gauge 1.5" and did my first quad injection. All went well, but about halfway in it felt weird like a muscle twitch, but then went in fine. Aspirated, no probs and pushed it in. Massaged for a minute. No pain at that point, but damn it's sore now!

Thanks! I was pretty concerned at first that maybe I hit a nerve or something!

As long as u stick to the lateral quad, half way down the quad u will not hit anything important.

My quad injections were usually a bit sore for a day or two. What was really "ouchy" was to hit a nerve on the stab. Don't think you need to go all the way in on your quads with a 1.5" pin...unless you are really well muscled.
