TRT pellets, 2% E/T ratio and a sad story.
TRT pellets, 2% E/T ratio and a sad story.
Amazingly since I have been on TRT, I discovered two of my friends are on the pellet TRT protocol. Both were given an AI up front and both have suffered badly. Once I discovered these friends were on TRT I asked how they were doing. They both exclaimed that they were better before TRT and basically have dead wood that the little blue pill won’t help despite the fact it use to. One was even considering having a pump permanently installed.. I asked if they had blood work and they both were kind enough to share. Both were at a non-detect level of estrogen and both were told that their T/E ratio should be at 2% or lower. It would seem that this is the philosophy of the Pellet doctors, at least some. Despite the fact both had very good T levels at free and total, their doctors have literally depleted all E. I of course directed them to this website and also informed them they should stop the AI and wait for blood work. One has been on the TRT for 3 years and never has even seen his BW until I asked about it. The other has been on for 6 months. Both started out at a normal E level and both were quickly depleted upon starting TRT because they blindly followed the DR. protocol and assumed the Doc new best.

very sad indeed! GDevine calls it criminal to prescribe medicine without knowledge, and i agree 100%! your friends are a classic example of medical malpractice. you done more good for them than their dr. by bringing them here.

Wow it's really strange how this occurs. People follow their Doctors directions and expect that they are being cared for correctly (as they should). It must be a horrifying situation to be in once you wake up & realize how off-base your treatment has been. Imagine how many men never even get to this realization, as it’s become standard practice to blindly trust one’s Doctor. I hope the OP's friends take his advice & start reading this forum. TRT is a positive & life-altering event for most here. It's very sad to see it go wrong for people due to negligent practitioners...

I think we all know now where the term "going postal" came from, scares me to think how I would react if this happened to me.

Both have just stoped taking the AI, one says he is feeling better, the other not yet. Since their E level is non-detect I suspect it will take some time. Funny both these guy's are states apart but were treated the same.

If their E levels don't bounce back to proper range, that would mean they have too few pellets placed.

that's pathetic...
any doctor should know men and women need healthy levels of estrogen for a number of things. this is not broscience but medical fact as well.
they should find a real expert. feel bad for them it must suck...

The other thing about pellets is they release a steady stream of T. So you are more likely to need NO AI. If you do need AI, you will need much less than if you are injecting 1x or 2x per week.
