Help with Cortisol labs and Adrenal Fatigue
Greetings, I have had all the symptoms of adrenal fatigue for quite a while. Recently I had the 4x salivary cortisol test from ZRT, which showed all signs being normal. The results were as follows:
Morning: 7.0 ..... 3.7-9.5
Noon: 3.5.......1.2-3.0
Evening: 2.1........0.6-1.9
Bedtime: 1.0........0.4-1.0
Even though these numbers seem relatively normal, could I still have adrenal fatigue? Would supplementing HC or desiccated adrenals help me at all? I am desperate for some relief.
Btw, I have had many other labs done in the past 6 months. Just let me know if you'd like to see any.
Thanks kindly

Yes, your panels are normal so I can only guess that you have another condition that presents similar symptoms.
Hypothyroidism presents many of the same symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue; have you had a full Thyroid panel run?
Post all BW with ranges and we'll all jump in.

Frigger, what kind of symptoms present themselves?? Is it possible you are just tired, run down, stressed, fatigued, all the above??? One thing my Doc stressed in regards to this is caffiene and energy drinks. I used to use them on a regular basis and it wrecks hovoc on your system. They are just down right bad for regular use. Vitimin B12 and or Vit D, have you been tested? Could be low and supplementation would maybe make a difference.

Bullshark
Mainly I just feel tired, heavy, and rundown throughout the day. There's a strange affect on my vision during these periods. It's not blurry, but kind of like tunnel-vision, and a little extra sensitive to light. I also universally feel like crap in the morning. More tired and drained than when I go to sleep. Periodically I get unexplained allergy attacks. Sneezing and congestion that last a couple days, and have no consistent cause.
I just havent felt normal in a while. have been trying everything to no avail.

This has me curious. Is there any proof that " Adrenal Fatgue" is even a legitimate condition? I havent read on it for years but when I did it seemed that some pretty respected medical professionals dismissed it as bogus.

Wassup Jimmy! Haven't seen you in these parts in some time
Yea, there is debate about the clinically viability of the diagnosis of "Adrenal Fatigue" but men whose adrenals been in over drive for a length of time and who respond to hydrocortisone treatments and seem to do much better can point to it.
My Doc treats for it and Crisler has even written on it; but you stand correct there are some who disregard it as a diagnosis.
BTW, my half sleeve is almost done. Totally Jap'd out and looking awesome. Still have some inside the arm work to do and NOT looking forward to that.
Peace man.
