    Steady-State Mean Serum Levels Graphed

Nelso Vergel posted this on his blog. I found it very interesting especially E2 response. Note, this was done on men with 200mg of Test every two weeks and most if not all of us are not on this type of protocol but it is still relevant.

"These graphs show what happens (average since everyone is different) in a study that used 200 mg of testosterone injections every two weeks. I have not been able to locate pk graphs of 100 mg per week, but the peak should be much less pronounced. As you can tell in these graphs, the 3 first days show increases beyond the max value in the range. You can also see the bars that show standard deviations to demonstrate how widely people respond (the age group was wide from 22-65, that may have been the main reason). You can also see DHT and estradiol levels. Or course gels do not exhibit this type of response curves. But I would say that 100 mg per week of injectable testosterone will not spike most people too much during day 1-3. Some men may use 75 mg per week instead. Testosterone response is linked to liver function, aromatase enzyme activity, fat content, genetic factors that we know little about, body mass index, and others...so a cookie cutter approach should not be used!"

He has a well visited Testosterone Repla***ent Therapy board on Face Book and also authored a book titled Testosterone: A Man's Guide.

It's a good resource as he posts a lot of relevant information on mens health and well being along with TRT.

thanks for the post GD. i wish they do a study like this based on 100 mgs ew in stead of 200 mgs eow. little confused about the e2, the line starts at the upper range! i like to know how it effects the liver, and what to do about it.

You can download Nelson Vergel's book for $10 so it's quite a bargain. I have it on my ipad.

I remember someone asked about how E2 levels track test levels and I mentioned about 1:1, but these graphs show it better. The point was made that you can't treat (lower) excessive E2 by dosing just occassionally, but it has to be a weekly therapy. Whether the negative effects of E2 are cumulative or more dependent on peak levels would be interesting to know.

And also, the "old school" of test therapy feels that the high peaks you would get from 200mg every two weeks are a necessary to achieve full effect, but others disagree.

so nothing has been determined then?
