Stopping HRT
I started TRT about 4 months ago, on approximately 1ml of 200mg/ml compounded test cream. My T and FT levels went up, but not enough, and i felt very little benefits. I would have had to be putting loads of cream on 3x a day to get it where i wanted both numbers and feeling-wise. I've decided to discontinue and want to know the best way to proceed.
I've already weened myself down to a 1/4 of the dosage, and have been taking a tiny bit of adex here and there. I am starting to get some nipple sensitivity. What would you suggest as the best course of action? HCG ? Nolva? Adex?
Let me know if you need any more info or numbers,
Thanks!

did you talk about this to your doctor?
you could probably get away with a short course of arimidex (both for elevated estradiol and testosterone production) but the bigger question then would be what are you going to do about your low testosterone once you come off?

Yes have talked about with with the doctor, but he's not great and i trust the collective experience of you guys more.
So you suggest just Adex or Aromasin , and forget Nolva?
I think there are other issues I must address first beyond testosterone .

I would ask for a second opinion from another doctor. He might recommend something different like injections

do you also have another thread showing your bloodwork and reasons for needing trt
or just this one where you want to stop trt with no plan b
who's idea is it to wean off of trt ..whats the concern, withdrawl? sorry, just tryin to make sense
but do agree with manonfire's suggestion but didnt see that thought process in the op

have you searched for an area expert in male hormones? that's your best bet... I really think when people on forums (who know so little about eachother) try to treat other people that it is a bad idea. advice and discussion is fine, but treatment goes far beyond this.
as an absolute last resort in a dire situation, it might be justified, but otherwise strangers on forums are not really in the position to treat another human being.

Who's trying to treat anyone
-
it's what the OP is asking for rather than finding a true expert in male hormones... we all are here to help eachother, but at the end of the day, we are not trained physicians and just as important we do not have the extensive knowledge of the individual that a doctor in person can have.

yeh reckon a reminder every now and then is parallel with our oath
-
lord knows sometimes I need the reminder myself... as much as we do educate ourselves, (and I would wager many of us know more than the average family doc for male HRT) there are true male hrt experts that can help us far more than we can help ourselves. the trick is being able to find and afford them.
