    Running AI out of cycle.

I'm 21 years old and have been referred to a urologist in regards to low end test levels and high estrogen.
She doctor referred me to a urologist instead of an endocrinologist because she recognizes I have several symptoms of low test but because my results are in the "range" she feels an endo will turn me away despite my growing frustration of the situation.

Basically the appointment is 3 and a half months away (long waiting list) and I am curious as to what running a mild dosage of AI will do for me before then?

    Something like amiridex .25mg eod?

I understand 3.5 months is a long ways away but why would you want to run anything before you meet with the Doc and do bloods??? You could be making you case worse for the need of getting treatment if its needed.

It'll lower my estrogen (and put an end to it's dominance). And I'm aware testosterone production only increases when the need for estrogen production is required. That is, through aromatization.

What I hope to get out of this suggested use of AI. is some nice muscle gain and reduced fat (with increased test and reduced estrogen) so my overall balance will tip the right way. Considering that more muscle mass results in more testosterone and less body fat means less estrogen.

Basically my values have done this over the several blood tests I've had done.

EDIT: A bit of back story,
I started off with average test and high estrogen (also determined that vitamin D was quite low)
Next test after getting leaner test went down and estrogen went down (was supplementing 1k-2k IU of vitD daily prior to this test - vitamin D was now just at optimal levels)
Test after that vitamin D is now low again, despite still supplementing it and test and estrogen are both lower
Latest test, didn't get vitamin D done but got test and estrogen, estrogen is at an all time high and test at one of it's lower points.

What I essentially want to know, what's the worst thing that could happen that they couldn't fix at the appointment anyways?
How long until the arimidex will make a difference at that dose and is that a good dosage for what I am looking to do?
Can I expect ease of gains from the increased testosterone?
Say I put on some muscle and lose fat, this will bring about more of an overall balance when I stop using the AI, correct?
What will happen after I stop using the AI if I put on muscle and if I don't.

sounds like your educating yourself which is a good thing

also that you have doctors involved is another

    thanks for answering my questions

i'll bump this for more opinions

your a young guy...what are your stats? any injuries/prior steroid /drug use?

No prior drug use what so ever.

    I'm 5'11 currently around 170, don't know current bf%
When I bulk with a clean diet I get stronger but just look fatter. When I cut I get 'lean-ish' but still am very soft everywhere. I have wide hips, wide shoulders, small wrists so only injuries have been to my wrists a couple of times.
Majority of my fat is stored in my abdominal area, I have skinny arms and legs and a heavy torso.

My brother who i convinced to start eating a clean diet has essentially surpassed me in strength in a very short time (2 months-ish) and I've been working out for about 2 years now, I also started bigger than he was).
He also looks older than I do and is about 2 inches taller.

    i hear you bro

everything you say DOES indeed point to estrogen winning

your best bet is to wait for that appointment/bloodwork...you NEED to know a baseline so IF/WHEN u do get put on meds you will know what affect said dose is having so you can easily adjust to find your best level

if i were you if you have the time call the uro everyday that you dont have to work starting today and ask if they have any cancellations that you'd like to get fitted in sooner than your 3.5 week a way

I think what I'm going to do is go to another doctor, who I've seen before who has just come back on holidays and ask to see an endo. If I can get an appointment with an endo earlier than the urologist, then I'll go ahead and see what they say.

Here are some pictures of me,

At my leanest - at about 165lb

    At my heaviest - ~180lb

Gonna have to paste the links into the address bar because I have <25 posts.

Also my pseudo-gynecomastia isn't as pronounced in the photos due to erect nips, no homo.

Yes, but it is hard to stay motivated when you know eating clean isn't going to make much of a difference, so I slack of more now than i did in the time frame of those images. Just want to be fixed so I can grow at the same rate as everybody else.

And right now there is a couple scenarios,
doctors help me or I help myself with either self medication or AAS.

    yes i hear you again

it IS frustrating not being on same playing field

get a call in to that other doctor and try the other for earlier appointment

you can have bloodwork done before the appointment without a prescription...maybe that will eliminate one step

I made another appointment with my original doctor who is back from holidays to get him to refer me to an endo, who I'll most likely get to see before the urologist, will cost me like $50-100 in total to see the specialist so that's nothing really. If they decide to not help me, I'll just wait it out and see the urologist. If they decide to help me then I can cancel the appointment.

    Thanks for words of wisedom.
