hcg alternative?
been on test cyp for 6 months. all good but my jewels are the size of almonds now - sadley. I knew this going into treatment and thought no big deal - but i miss them and so does wife. I've heard from a few that HCG will get my boys back. i asked doc for script of HCG and he refused claiming something about banned by FDA. Anyway - I can't get any and I read on the boards that there are alternatives. What are the alternatives? Thanks!

Not banned by the FDA, unless we are talking about the oral drops, which were part of the fad hCG diet. hCG, has become as of late, more difficult to get via overseas pharmacy sources, and much more expensive than it was. I think the FDA put some overseas companies on notice and some stopped selling the stuff.
But, as far as I know, your doctor is incorrect. He can write a scrip for hCG to be administered subQ anytime he is willing to do so.
Not aware of alternatives...unless clomid is one. Not sure on that.

Not sure what you mean by "alternatives" because they all will require a prescription. Clomid would substitute, but its long-term safety is the issue, as it seems to be somewhat toxic and often causes ocular problems. Other SERM's are more safe, but I believe most of them tend to stimulate LH production even less than clomid does.
Actually, anything that would stimulate LH production would work, as would recombinant LH, or HMG, but again, they are even more difficult to obtain and the price is much higher.

As a matter of fact it is right on my HCG product insert that it is appropriate for Hypogonatropic Hypogonadism.

^^^
Which is of course, true - but IIRC, the dosage and/or time of prescribed use won't work for most long-term TRT users, although it might be
a good way to get your foot the door with a recalcitrant doctor.
