fat gain and t4
hi, all!!
I'm starting treatment with t4. My doctor told me that I should not be worried about fat gain. But there are many forums where lots of people report weight gain. So, what can I expect?
I really need t4, but I dont want to lose my very lean body.
Thank you
Sorry for my English.. I'm not English native

Uhhh, T4 is the thyroid hormone thyroxine that will aid in weight loss, not gain.

That was what I thought, t4 should speed up metabolism, but then, when I searched for info, I came across lots of people that gained weight while on t4..
If someone can explain me the reason for the weight gain, I would be grateful.

There is a reason the Dr. is placing you on it, so don't worry about the weight gain if it happens. Most of the time people loose weight, but there are some who don't. Stay off google, it can stear you down which ever road your mind wants to wonder.

I gained weight when i went on it because of appetite increase. I felt like trash to so i stopped it, kind of pissed me off though cause I spent a lot of time losing that weight, and was still watching what I weight although not as closely. So really just keep track of it and don't let it happen. But I would get so hungry in the morning I would feel nausea.

People lose weight on increases in hormones do to the increase in resting metabolic rate...why increase in appetite...to fuel the system.
Still need to watch what you eat no matter what; low carb high protein is usually a winning ticket.

I really have an increased appettite. I must be careful about it.
I do workout a lot, eat few carbs and a lot of protein.. I'm on the right track, :-)
