TRT thickens the blood. baby aspirin is ok but donating blood is immediate. all of on TRT donate on a regular basis to thin our blood.

You need to run a ferritin panel, and possibly look into the genetic test for hemochromatosis. I am a carrier for this disease and my ferritin levels are through the ceiling when not controlled by donating blood. I started seeing arthritis at a very young age, but had no clue about what was causing it til my 30's.

Totally agree with the above. Start your donation protocol asap and do it every two months. Helps you, helps society.

androgens are known to raise red blood cell count, and this is to be expected. because you are likely to be on trt for a long time, it's wise to donate blood to help prevent any possible complications.
keep an eye on it for now, but once you get "settled" into your routine it shouldn't be something you need to constantly stress about.

I hate to say it guys, but I tried to follow your advice and give blood yesterday. I damn near passed out, they had to stop and fan me, and told me I'm prob not a good candidate to give blood. They didn't get anything out of me unfortunately.

did you drink enough watter? in this case I'd recommend seeing your doc and have him write an order to get your blood drawn as a therapy, your blood is way too thick, thats why they couldn't get any out.

what do you mean?
was this because you were afraid of needles or they literally could not suck the blood out?
the fact that you almost passed out tells me it was probably your mental state/anxiety.
being very dehydrated can make it much much harder to draw blood, even if your blood is not thick. drink plenty of water, I don't think there's any need to fast for blood donations...
