GFA's New BW May 2012, Thoughts?

    Protocol

    250 ius HCG 3x a week (M, W, F, SubQ total 750iu week)
.25 mg ldex 2x a week (Sunday, Wed, total .5mg week)

Blood work was done on a friday morning, 5 days post test injection.

    Hemoglobin 17.6 (12.5-17 range)
    Hemotocrit 50.9 (36-50 range)

Did a whole blood donation, went down to normal range but as you can see elevated again. Going to do double next month.

    Lipids

    Total Chol 190 (100-199)
    Triglycerides 187 (0-149)
    HDL 41 (>39 range)
    LDL 112 (0-99 range)

    Total Testosterone 799.7 (348-1197 range)
    Free + W Bound 243 (40-250 range)

    Estradiol 12.2 (7.6-42.6 range)

    Prostate Ag 1.1 (0-4.0 range)

    Thoughts?

Need to work on getting my Triglyerides down, LDL and will probably decrease my ldex to 1x a week, maybe on injection day.

You look good for the most part.

    Agree with J regarding lipids.

Also, think about going to.25mg per week with the AI; you are low and it's not fun down there.

Just see you you "feel" for a few weeks...no harm...no foul.

When you say "double" I'm assuming you mean donate DRBC? Good. Agree on the adex. What was your shbg this time?

    Thanks all.

Yes to the 1x a week .25 mg for AI. I was at 56 before with no AI.

@kelkel, Double RBC for next donation. Dont have SHBG as part of this BW.

@jkp, not sure what I am going to do yet for triglycerides. This is a copy of the BW I got from labcorp directly. Didnt see doc yet. They now ask if I want a copy sent directly to me. Something new.

Think they said tri's has more to.do with diet than the ldl/hdl but they have me on lipitor and aspirin for life and a few more things for short term and/or stent protection

Ill be seeing the hematologist next week so I will see what he recommends. Id prefer to stay away from more meds, hopefully I can reduce it through diet alone.

Like you I am already lifting consistently but you had an unexpected heart attack so never know. Id like to minimize my risk although there is no history of heart attacks in my family, I dont want to be the first.

well there are a few other markers to look for in bloodwork...lipoprotein a and c-reactive protein...i already knew i had the lipoprotein a problem more when i had my heart health checked more than 6 years just before trt and all lipid profiles though came back impressive until that scary day when the tri's were 200..

.but i guess i could have earned that one....several times a week 4-5 beers, fried food, butter on stuff, good size portions of ice cream....so i have plenty of room to improve...i figured i was doing ok cuz i was maintaining my weight....indeed the indulging was keeping me from my being leaner goals but i thought thats where it stopped..

    keep us posted

my brother in law is latterly skin and bone, a real toothpick, and he had a mild heart attack due to 90% blockage. weight has nothing to do with it, its either hereditary or diet. few things you can do to improve lipids are,

    oats
80% or higher dark chocolate, about 30 grams per day
    any kind of hot tea
    morning cardio
    raw nuts
    fish oil

of course stay away from oils and fats, olive oil is okay also little butter is okay but not every day, eat more egg whites than hole. donate blood as often as its possible, in other words every two months, you seem to have thick blood naturally and TRT will make it even worse, so donate often.

I been doing morning cardio pretty regularly.

I will drop down to .25mg AI on wed morning. My e2 was over 50 with no AI. I am one of those AI over responders. Less is more

I picked up some herseys cocoa and add a tablespoon to my morning shake. Im guessing my tris were even higher before when my cholesterol was 209. They didnt test for it back then. My cholesterol and LDL are both down but still needs work.

I think if I can get my weight down another 20 lbs my cholesterol will be fine.

RBCs will be the thing I really have to monitor. I know the doc will want me to do therapeutic phlebotomy now. Will do one more double red and see how it goes.

JP, every time i drink a cup of coffee my PVC's act up badly, my mom reacted the same way, it could be hereditary but, coffee dose effect the heart negatively. i drink 3-4 cup of hot tea in the evening and no problems! 11:59am! LOL!

...but to keep it in perspective, with a mid-range test of >800, I would easily take a E2 of 50 vs. one of 12 - given the choice.

Would it make sense to do .25 mg eoweek? I haven't used any this week yet, was thinking of taking a week off to let my e2 levels rebound some.

I do feel I need some e2 management since my nips felt sensitive at 50.

Some people are just more nip sensitive by nature. My E runs steady at 15-16 and I'm still on occasion sensitive. And I don't use an AI. My doc says some people are just that way.
