two vial of test expiring soon!
i bought two vials from my clinic last September and on the vial it says to discard after 3-24-2012! that like 5 months or so! what gives, i thought this stuff can sit on the shelf for 3 years! these vials are from a compounding pharmacy i think. i have two other vials from Saveon pharmacy and they have almost 3 years expiration date! i though compound pharmacy test is the same as pharma grade test. did the clinic ask the compounding pharmacy to put an early expiration date on the vial on purpose so we can use on time? i am assuming there is no difference between the pharma grade and compounding pharmacy grade.

No worries, bass. I've used vials that are around 12 to 14 months old and all was GTG. Just keep them out of the light, not too hot and not too cold (you know the routine). If you're out of room you can drop em by my place and I'll keep them safe for you.

expired test? this could be a serious problem!
send all vials of expired test to:
Times Roman
c/o general delivery
Manteca, Ca 95336
a proper course of action will be adhered to. Rest assured.

I have Watson Test Cypionate . I got my last vial filled 3/12/2012. The expiration on the bottle is 1/2015. Might want to check that expiration date on the stuff you get from your clinic when they hand it to you.

it's very odd that they would do that. honestly I doubt it would matter...
but it does beg the question of WHY? I mean... so many places can't keep this stuff on the shelves it's gone so fast and supply is so low. so why would they have something so close to expiration?...
I would call them up just out of curiosity but I probably wouldn't throw it out because I wouldn't want to run out of T and turn into an angry woman again....

Stuff from regular pharm has a 4 year shelf life I believe. But my compounded stuff is also a short expiration. Dunno if they are more worried about that type of oil going rancid or what. I want to build up a nice stock pile, but definitely going to always use my oldest stuff first. I assume it will be good longer than it says but I wouldn't push it to 4 years like the other stuff that probably has an oil that will last longer.

but its made of the same components and processed the same way! i believe its because they don't want us to save for later and build up our stock so they keep selling more. well, next I'll use the expired vial and within 6 weeks I'll do blood work to see how its doing...

weird, probably just them having their own reasons for it, likely what you said.

so what if they made too much a few years ago and are just now getting around to selling, and it is really old already lol. Does it have a date when it was made? Just a thought but I would bet money it isn't true.

yes according to the lot date it was made about 5 months ago. besides you can't keep this stuff on the shelf, if you remember there was a shortage not long ago. well i took my first shot yesterday, so we'll see!

if you call the pharmacy and talk to the pharmacist I'm sure they could shed some light on it... they are the ones making it after all lol.
I think it's a very legitimate concern/question too.
