Saw the doc today, Few Q's for you guys

So i saw my doctor today, Here is the list of BW he ordered for me. Testosterone , CBC, CMP, FSH, LH, Estrogen, TSH. He also told me that TRT MAY cause infertility and i may not be able to ever have more kids. Its a very small chance but still a chance. Have you guys ever heard of anyone that this has happened to? Are there any other items that should be checked for the BW? I will post the results of the BW when i get them. Thanks.

If you want to have kids generally you would also need to be prescribed HCG during your TRT, HCG will keep the boys working.

I am sure some of the experts on this forum will start to chime in soon.

Hi Ricci - Need to know much more about you.

Are you currently on a TRT protocol or are you getting tested to see if it's warranted?

TRT can cause infertility do to HPTA suppression but can be overcome with the use of hCG which keeps HPTA intact.

If you haven't please read/study all the stickies at the top of the forum.

You will also find a list of the necessary BW you should get done.

Make sure your Doc orders the Estrogen "Sensitive" panel for men; if not, it will be the standard panel for women and useless for men.

Post your BW here in this thread complete with ranges when you get them and we'll do our best to give you experienced advise and help.

I was treated for LOW T with 2.5 mg androderm patches. It did nothing for me. I recently relocated to SW FL and this was the first meeting with my new doc. My first doc was on a marine base so she pretty much gave me the patches without asking any Q's. My total test level from what she told me was 220. I mentioned HCG to my doc today and he looked at me like i had a dick growing out of my head. I will become versed with the stickies and if need be, i will get a second opinion.

Its rare, yes, but also understand it IS POSSIBLE; but more importantly, your doctor was practicing "defensive medicine" - he's simply covering his ass!

If you are interested in having kids within the next year, avoid testosterone and consider an alternative therapy like clomid or anastrozole. These both can increase your testosterone and support your fertility. After you conceive, then take the "plunge."

I've said it here before: Arnold did massive amounts of steroids for over 10 years, have ligitimate and illigitimate kids after that. The infertility thing is overblown. If you want kids, do HCG while doing HRT. Besides, low T also leads to infertility so you have your back to the wall. And if you do have kids, you will need HRT . . . having kids is a young man's sport! My kids about kill me.
