My endo has me scheduled to get an MRI to determine if im primary or secondary. Im currently on a blast of test prop 100mg eod. Will this have any effect on the results of the scan of my thyroid?

I'm confused. Are you getting a Pituitary MRI or a Thyroid Gland Sonogram?

When you said primary or secondary, I assumed you meant hypogonadism, but now I'm wondering if you were talking about hypothyroidism?

Im getting my pituitary scanned by MRI. I wasnt willing to go off trt for a month so that they could do bloodwork to check my LH and FSH levels to determine primary or secondary hypogonadism. Sorry for the shitty original post I must have had low blood sugar when I wrote it.

I don't see why gear would have any impact on a structural scan. If you were having an MRA or perfusion-based scan with contrast enhancement maybe there would be an issue but even then I would be doubtful.

    Damn, that's some camel toe!!

On the subject, NO, your MRI will be fine unless there's some sort of tumor, cyst, or abnormal image of the region.

Now, if they run blood work and see your testosterone is elevated, someone might ask questions.

Did someone already run LH/FSH labs? That should have been their first avenue to question your diagnosis. Obviously an MRI would be the next step ...

Just came from an MRI. Tore up my gastrocnemius three weeks ago.

Good news.....neither the machine nor I imploded during a 40 minute scan (I'm mid cycle).

No one suspected or said anything.

Oh that's a lovely injury. I broke blood vessels in mine getting my knees wrapped training for a power meet years (and years) ago. Put me in the hospital on blood thinners for 3 days as they were worried it may clot and on crutches for 6 weeks. Lovely.

Oh they suspected....they were just afraid to mention it.

My own damn fault. Didn't warm up before I jumped into standing calf raises at 600lbs. After 4 years of dedication, 5 days a week, I made a colossal error because I was impatient and bull headed. Hopefully this heals quickly without surgical intervention.

Check and see if prolotherapy would be of any assistance in speeding up the healing process in addition to whatever else your going through. I just actually had it done on my shoulder yesterday due to tendonitis. Hoping it works as it supposed to. Doc I went to does alot of the Philly pro sports teams and was impressive. Big friggen needle though and he must have shoved it in about a dozen (no sh*t) times. Sore as hell today. Then he shot me in the hips about 6 each and the foot. WTF.

Ouch. Sounds painful but I think I could bare it if it reduces rehab time. I'm stuck on upper body workouts watching my legs atrophy. It's mentally deflating!!!!!
