    Low Test - Nothing working!!

    Hello all

Posted on here a while ago when i was first diagnosed with low test, feels like i`ve been through hell and back and still no better.

About me - 34 years old, 230lb, 6ft, train 5 days a week but can`t seem to change body shape, low energy/libido, tired, lathargic, ED, general low feeling, among other symptoms.

Was diagnosed test at 6.6 but everything else is fine sperm levels fine, and everything else fine apart from the low test, havent got full results as i`ve been passed from piller to post.

Was perscribed nebido by one endo, which did nothing apart from give me spots and shrink my testicles, after a visit back to my endo he took me off nebido as it will make me infertile. his final conclusion was if i want nebido i can have it but it will make me infertile in the long run and since my sperm is normal and fine he doesnt want the risk, so he told me my symptoms must be down to either being to tired or through steriod abuse, and he`ll see me in 6 months and check if my results have changed.. I have had 1 epherdrine tablet and 1 winstrol tablet in my life 6-7 years ago, (neither agreed with me) apart from that i`ve never had any other steriod.

anyway i went back to my GP and told him i wasnt happy with my treatment and wanted to see someone else, i saw another endo that was exellent,

He has referred me to a sleep specialist to rule out sleep apnea as he thought that could explain the low test as my body isnt recovering, has this been the case with anyone else, and cured you?

He has also refered me to an andrology specialist, to the professor in the field as he cannot explain why my body is working like this, (everything else fine but low test)

I also got perscribed viagra - i`ve tried this a couple of times 50mg dose but it does nothing for me at all, I think this is down to having low libido, has anyone else had this problem? i may try 100mg and see if that works.

I didnt mention this to the endo but my mates have taken melotan and they all say it gives them raging errections and horny as ever, anybody tried this? dont fancy it but if its the only option..

anyway sorry for the essay, I am waiting for the referals now and am on nothing at all apart from the viagra which i`ve only got two left and on a private perscription so have to pay full price for them (in UK) which i cant really afford as due to my symptoms i miss work alot, and i`m not due back to see any endo`s as i`ve been refered to the andrologist.. just a waiting game now..

Thanks for any help or advice

Do you have any bloodwork you can post? You need to look at everything and find the cause for why you feel the way you do. With the Nebido did you do a loading phase as it takes time to build up solid levels? You may be better off with Cialis than Viagra. Also instead of Melanotan take it the next step and just go with PT141. Check our sponsors site or many other research sites.

Hi mate, thanks for the quick reply, unfortunatley i dont have any of the blood work, i`ve asked for them but my GP doesnt have them for some reason and the hospitals i have been to to see the endo`s don`t seem to want to send them, i`ve had all my referal letters sent to me but no blood work has come to me.

I didnt have a loading phase, my endo took me off it due to the fact he didnt want me to become infertile, (think he was just covering his own back really, as my sperm was normal)

I`m not to keen on taking anything that hasn`t been tested or detrimental to me but i`ll do some research on the things you mentioned, anything else you can suggest?

    Thanks again, much appreciated.

Is there a history of AAS abuse in your history?

You need to see a Doctor that understands Hormone Management & Replacement in men; don't think an Endo is going to know this...most don't.

read the sticky on finding a TRT Doctor published by kel and look for the right care...this Doc is typical and doesn't understand.

Hi, I've never taken any type of steriod other than the two tablets I litterally sampled to see how I reacted, I haven't taken any other type of steriod apart from the nebido in my life!

The first endo clearly took one look at me (I'm quite big due to being a farmers lad) and thought I was an abuser! The uk system is terrible

Ah ha, you're in the UK...okay.

You have a problem and need to address it correctly.

There are a number of members here who are from the UK and maybe they can help point you in the right direction.

In the mean time, read as much as you can on TRT for men. There are a number of good books you can get on Amazon on this subject.

The more educated you are the better you can manage your care with your chosen Physician.

Agree with GD. Buy "Testosterone for Life" by Morgantaler. Good read and will help you much.

Hi thanks for the recomendation, I bought the book and am currently reading it.

The dilemma i am having is I want to have children in the future and dont want to have any sort of treatment that will potentially lower my sperm count, after reading most of the book I have found out that TRT will have an effect on sperm counts.

Is there anything that I can have that will raise my testosterone without ruining my chances of having children?!?

I dont want to be compaired to people that have had TRT and still had healthy children ect, only reason being my women has issues with polosistic ovaires so we may have trouble anyway and i dont want to jinx anything by me having to cycle different drugs ect, if thats what i need to do,

the book mentions clomid to naturally raise testosterone, but says the effects of low test are still there even after the test reading goes up..

    Has anyone tried this?

Bearing in mind I havent taken steriods before...

    Thanks

Been to see a new endo, and I'm having to start all over again! Blood test then wait 3 months to see him again! It's a joke!

Went back to my GP and blagged them into prescribing me cialis not tried it yet but last time I took Viagra it made me sick, gave me a banging head ache, a blocked nose but didn't make any difference with my ED

    What's the difference with cialis?

any external test use will lower fertility/shut you down eventually as you already know (the male pill they are working on is test based i think) , hcg +clomid should raise your test levels without reducing fertility but again in the UK they are only prescribed for ppl with a low sperm count wanting children -hcg+clomid can also have side effects that may have to be sorted.
i understand you wanting the best of both worlds (test + hcg/clomid to keep testicular function) the only way in the UK as far as i can see is to take the TRT and self med with low dose hcg as many do on here to keep the old nads working -unfortunately you cant get them both via the NHS as they are not licensed for that use.

I have asked the endo to forward my blood results to me, so I'll post on here if they ever appear! Hopefully they will cure me, I've had a blood test on my thyroid and it came back fine! Is a blood test the only way to test it?

Going for my first visit to a sleep specialist on Monday as the endo was convinced my problems are due to a sleep issue and I may not have to see him again!! But I'm not holding my breath!! I have to wait 3 months before I see him again!!

Thought doctors were there to help!!
