HCG Question, Will I have to adjust?

    Hey there..

Really glad i found this forum.. I was following another one
and it seemed not as friendly.

I'm 35y/o and been on TRT since Feb. 2012

Life changing decision and feel really amazing right now.

It took a while for my body to adjust and to find the right
dosage but wow.. I really noticed the change in my body.
The results in the gym and lifting are great..and everyone
is noticing how much more muscular i am. It's like night and day.

    Anyway..

    Currently on 250mg a week of Test E and I take .5mg Anastrozole every M and F
(for the record: my doc used routine blood work to gradually increased my test to 250mg and put me on ai when my estrogen hit 60)

I noticed my testes have shrunk quite a bit since i started TRT
I'm not really concerned with the shrinkage however..

I called my doc up with some concerns about not being on hcg
because i possible would like to have another kid or at least try
    to at some point.

He said it would be a good idea to get on hcg, doing a once a week shot
2 days before my Test shot. So monday he's going to write me a script.

    My questions are...

When introducing the HCG shots will this increase my testosterone
levels on top of what I'm already taking with the TEST e?

If so will it be noticeable increase?

Would I have to decrease my Test e shot to equalize out the increase from the hcg?

My delima is ...I feel really good right now.. and the last thing i want to do is start having
to adjust everything again...for a while i felt like i was on a emotional roller coaster before
    I got on AI.

Any advise or experience would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in Advance ,Trace MYD

Posting from phone so there's other thoughts and Q's I might have to post later.

Yes, there's a very good chance your test will increase, depends if you diagnosed were primary or secondary when you started.

Labs will be your friend as you get familiar with HCG . In my case, 200mg/wk was cut to 120mg/wk to achieve the same approx. serum levels when I started a 250iu x 3/wk protocol of HCG. It will all vary depending on the condition of the testcles.

^^^^This and be sure to read the sticky on HCG . You can also go to www.allthingsmale.com and read Dr. Crislers papers on it. He recommends HCG both 2 and 1 day before your weekly test injection. 250 a week is a high end dosage and I'd love to see your Blood work with ranges to go along with that. You need HCG for all the reasons you will read in the sticky and it is worth the adjustment time.

Also, depending upon how much your testes atrophied it may take some time before they start producing natural testosterone on their own.

Good news, you have a Doc who is managing you correctly so he will keep you dialed in.

Read the sticky on hCG ...it's a wonderful peptide that does so much for men.

Quite a few people find they have to increase their AI when they go on HCG .

TRT is a lot of adjustment. It takes time to learn it all and learn your body well. Your concern over shrinkage is a valid concern. The good news is you already are aware that you may have to make adjustments. When you know in advance what may have to be adjusted you can make quick adjustments when needed. What sucks is when it takes you a month or two to gain that knowledge. Read that sticky and look at threads on HCG. HCG is well worth it.

wow! Thats a pretty big drop in your test dosage.

How did you figure it out? Did you go off strictly blood work or did you go more by "feeling"

Also, do you feel any different with the 120mg/wk +250iu x 3/wk HCG compared to just taking the 200mg/wk?

Thanks for all the responses, I read the HCG sticky before i posted... Great stuff.

There is Something my Doc told me on the phone that might explain why some people
are having a hard time getting HCG scripts.

He said that there are 2 states that you can go to jail for prescribing HCG
Louisiana being one of them.. I can't remember the other... but he said he had
has to be real carefull about prescribing it.

He further stated that he feels comfortable with getting me on it because
I'm 35 and still may want another kid.

One thing I did do before I got on TRT, I went and got my sperm frozen
as a precaution my Doc did a good job explaining to me that TRT shuts down your natural production.,
and to give peace of mind to my fiancee.
Knowing that if I can't get her pregnant.. we have a backup plan.

However, at the time I was shocked to find out that my sperm count was extreemly really low
but now that i think about it... it all makes sense because my natural test
levels were low also. I had to go back multiple times to the spem bank to make deposited because
my count was so low... I think it validates that for me that TRT+hcg is a good direction for me.
