    AI question

I am going to see my doc on 9/6 and confront her on her lack of full TRT treatment and see what happens.I need an AI and she won't prescribe. If she does after our meet how long after I start it should I get BW?If she doesn't prescribe I plan to try liquidex and find a new doc. Also If I lower my E with an AI would I lower my dose of test because of less conversion?I am currently on 50mgs every 3.5 days.I speculate that I would go to 40mgs every 3.5 days.Thoughts.

It's difficult and really not wise for us to give advice on any sort of dosing without knowing what your BW results are and any related TRT history first.

I will say that I wouldn't worry about changing doses, that will be determined by bloodwork after you've been on an AI for a while.

Do you have some numbers you could post for us?

I have had tons of blood work to justify an AI .Don't have the report in front of me but from memory E2 67 range (don't remember low)42 is high range.T 809 high range 890.Im happy with my T level .I feel pretty good at this number.Been begging for an AI for months with no response.

Just out of curiosity, what negative sides of high e2 are you experiencing.

That's the funny thing,I kinda think that I really dont have symptoms but I know high E is not good for your long term health .

Elevated E2 levels can be insidious and present no side effects just as an FYI...

based on your BW I'd say yes you need AI, see your doc about prescribing AI if not then get some Ldex and find a new doc! your not too high so be careful dosing Ldex, simply take 0.25 mg 12-24 hours after each test shot then do blood work 4 weeks later to see if you need to make adjustments. i agree with JD, i wouldn't lower the test dose. new range from Labcorp is 350 to 1200 (somewhere in that range)

Thanks Bass. The top of the range for my age group is 890.Yes I should let BW prove it but would my assumption be correct that I could possibly need less test with an AI?

no the new top range for all ages is 1197 to be exact. old numbers were based on decline of test as men age, its actually the other way around, man starts to breakdown due to testosterone decline! so they changed it to 348-1197 cross the board! i think the low end of the range for all adults should be minimum 600.

Thanks Bass.Good to know.I guess my doc and the lab are behind the times. She was alarmed when I came in At 809.Thought it was to high .I told her Im not dropping down because this is where I finally started to feel good.Hell I wouldn't mind taking it a little higher and see what happens.Just one more thing to confront her with.

Hey Bass after I thought about what you said about the T ranges who would I bitch to about not being up to date, the lab or the doc?Is the labcorp standard the standard thru out the industry?Who sets that standard?Just looking for ammo.I read in Nelson Vergels book a chart about the ranges and it was the sliding scale in there. So when did it change if you know?

i think it changed about 8 months ago or so, it could have been longer. these are labcorp ranges, they differ from one lab to another. ive seen some labs go up to 1600!

i don't think so, if you fell good with 800s then that's all it matters. more is not always better.

Ok so I gotta take it to the max.If I didn't feel good then I would be screwed?Would a good doc take you over the high range if thats what it would take?

a good doc will only give you what you need to be healthy. you will know fairly quick if more is good for you or not. remember, all drugs have unwanted sides. this is why we say more is not always better.
