You do realize that this is the same paranoid argument used by every hate group (white supremacists, people who hate immigrants, etc), right?

With due respect man I think you read wayyyy too much into Vince's post. The hate group analogy I think was a bit out of left field.

Do I think domestic violence charges can be easily avoided in ones life? Yeah although I'm only 24 I've managed to avoid them thus far lol. But are there cases where the man went to jail because a crazy spouse was drunk and mad and wanted to use the cops to screw him over? I've seen it on Cops the TV show. Wow that sounded a lot less convincing than it did in my head. I do think there are some states where it's actually a law that someone has to be arrested on a domestic dispute call.

Obviously I don't think he goes to male chauvinist rallies or anything (do they even exist?), but my point was that his argument is needlessly inflammatory and is doing his cause more harm than good (though by this point I don't know if its about freeing Crisler, or defending patriarchal social dominance and pride). If I cringed at his fear-mongering tactics, so will many potential supporters.

Points well taken guys. I don't mean to sound like an extremist. I'm just surprised that so many people are quick to say he's probably guilty without really taking a good look you know? I know 3 guys personally, who are in similar albeit lesser situations. One guy is honestly one of my best friends, whom I know has done nothing wrong, his ex wife is diagnosed bipolar, didn't take meds and lied. Now he's spending tons of money in legal fees just so he can see his 3 year old son. Yes our choices to get involved with wrong people determine a lot, but how much do we really know about each other? He didn't know she was on meds and bipolar until she snapped. She was a perfect match for him, there was no way he could know what was to happen.

For the record anyone who beats a woman deserves to go to jail. I agree wholeheartedly!

with all due respect, do you think bitches don't exist? i know three men happen to be my friends all committed suicide because their wives slept around with other men, took everything they owned including the kids, and yes their dignity too. these men were good decent individuals, and yes they were abused by their women. this shit happens on both sides buddy, it's not one sided.

I don't know about doctor Crisler, but I do know men get the shaft more often than women in our justice system. I also know men who beat their wives but there are no less criminals than those wives who drove their husbands to their demise!

and yes I agree with Vince, the society have stripped men out of their dignity, just watch tv shows today, they always portray fathers to be the stupidest members of the family. sounds like you watch too much reality shows!

No opinion on this case but,

Just to help shed some light on this kind of case. Police, States Attorney’s, ETC. will always (OK 98% of the time) change from “Guilty beyond a reasonable doubt” to “ If there is any chance it may have happened” because you can convict 100 men wrongly and be reelected or not have your career destroyed, however you release one guy who really did not meet the standards for conviction and then he reoffends and your career is done.

If it’s a case involving the child protection agency, forget it I would be willing to bet well over half of the staff and counselors, have been abused or mistreated in some way and have an axe to grind.

I have a close friend who was accused of molesting his 4 year old daughter. He had enough sense to employ a legal team well beyond his financial means, spending over 50 grand in the first year alone.

Background investigation showed that the mother had previously accused 4 people of molesting her children.

Psychiatrists assigned by the state came to the conclusion that she very likely suffered from Munchhausen syndrome.

Papers from the hospital showed that the child was born severly addicted to narcotics (the mother was allegedly taking Oxycodone due to a sore wrist from a car accident 4 months prior) and she required a two week detox.

Lab-work taken before court revealed that she was still using Oxycodone for the same wrist some 8 months later, by the way the wrist was not fractured, she suffered a mild sprain according to all medical reports.

Due to the actions of the “Child protection agency” and a female states attorney, none of these facts were allowed into evidence in the court case even though the mother was the only one placing the accusation and there was no physical evidence of any molestation.

Fortunately due to the legal team he had in place he was able to avoid a conviction…but still has not obtained even partial custody despite spending 100s of thousands fighting this shit with expert witness after expert witness’s testimony being dismissed by the CPA.

If he had not had the ability to retain the legal team that he did he would no doubt be sitting in prison as we speak.

PS in my own experience I had a women run a red light while speeding (25 mph road), I was crossing the street to my apartment building in a crosswalk about 150 ft past the light with my fiance and she starts blowing her horn from 75 feet away scaring the hell out of my fiance who ran from the street, I stood my ground and the crazy bitch decided to finally stop about 50 ft away by locking up the brakes. So at this point she jumps out of her BMW with her steering wheel lock in hand and tries to hit me over the head with it LOL. I simply grabbed it out of her hand and threw it across the street and asked her (in a loud voice) what the **** her problem was, well a cop came driving by about this time and jumped out to ask why I was yelling at her LOL. My finance told him she had tried to assault me with the wheel lock and that she was speeding and appeared intoxicated. Well the cop starts giving me a lecture saying I still should not yell at her because that could cause the situation to elevate LOL.

At that point I simply told the cop I would never hit a women but he did not have tits and turned around and walked into my apartment building while he called for backup...what a byotche!!

Maybe in the crap you watch. I don't have a TV or cable, so I only choose to watch shows online that have interesting characters and minimal stereotyping. You know, ones that make me actually feel ok with living on this planet.

And of course there are crazy bitches who will abuse the system to hurt their man, but there are probably A LOT more crazy, drunk assholes out there who would beat their wife/gf harder and more frequently if they could easily get away with it. But this should be viewed on a case to case basis, and not as a social war on men or anything so drastic. So IMO, a legal system that leans in favor of a supposedly abused woman represents the lesser of two evils.
Men: just be careful who you bang, and make sure to treat them well.

It will be interesting to see how this turns out. The man has a huge reputation in the HRT world, it's a shame any of this has to take place at all. Guilty or innocent, it will just get negative press in the industry.

I have to disagree with you on this. I have lived through it first hand due to divorce and seen it time after time with other men. It is not uncommon at all for women to claim either abuse or worse child abuse during a divorce just to get what they want and usually that is to destroy you and your life.

No it doesn't make any sense but we are not talking about logical creates for the most part but emotional ones. I got lucky and the smoke and mirrors where seen thought but could have just as easily gone the other way.

This is typical. Just say the words abuse, rape or child molestation and 99% of the public will say hang them high before knowing any facts.

Sure, we can all pull out representative heuristics that will skew our view on the matter. Alternately, I've known plenty of girls and women who were abused or raped without consequence for the guy (lack of proof, etc), but I've only known one guy who have had their life ruined under false pretense by a woman.

With that being said, just because you have only known one guy don't be quick to think it only happens one way or another or is more likely than not. Thats what gets people all wound up and presumed guilty instead of innocent. We all would hope people would give us the benefit of the doubt especially if we were innocent.

I have known girl/women who have been raped and also some who call it rape when they have morning remorse claiming they were taken advantage of because they had to much to drink; Not passed out only drunk, same as they guy they were with. When it comes to excuses or being a victim women do have the upper hand by far.

No one is saying there are not a lot of guys who are abusive but I believe there are just as many women who are physically abusive to men but men dont typically call police or tell anyone and NO, women cant usually do as much physical harm like a man can. I have had my share of drinking glasses shatter on my, ducked plates, phones and walked away with scratches, cuts and some bruises and never told anyone. It's not typically one sided as it may seem. Obviously the best thing to do is get away from those type of people and I did but it's not always cut and dry.

Let's make sure we're all clear here; he has been found "guilty" in a court of criminal law. He is serving his time, out of jail, with pretty significant restrictions and requirements.

While he will attempt to reverse his conviction, and he even states it himself, it's almost impossible to have a criminal conviction overturned in the state of Michigan.

Think of his attempts more along the lines of a good public relations campaign...

After reading everything Crisler stated on his forum and watching the video it is very apparent something is wrong in Michigan. Not saying Crisler is as pure as the driven snow but something is definately rotten. The "system" in the county I live in went to considerable lengths to convict me of vehicular manslaughter DESPITE eye witness accounts and evidence to the contrary. I thought the accident was behind me until I was served a bench warrant and started 1 1/2 years of hell. The only sane players in my case were my lawyer and most thankfully of all the judge. The second judge that is. The first judge had ALREADY decided I was going to jail! Luckily I was able to have him dsimissed and appointed an new judge on the day of the trial. What I am saying is shit does happen and innocent and guilty aren't always the whole story. This taught me that although our system is good it still has problems.

Congratulations on getting out of a bad/bogus charge that could have affected your life forever. It's really scary when stuff like this happens and it does happen. I was also lucky in my case but I have seen it time and time again where people are not so lucky and either loose everything or have to take a plea bargain for something they did not do to avoid jail time.

Thanks. I appreciate that. If it had not been for one eye witness being in the right place at the right time I am certain I would have lost my case. It was that scary. I probably would have had to plea bargain to stay out of jail but very fortunately for me the man who witnessed the accident was a long time motorcycle rider (35+ years) and he came back. He told me he came back because he knew the other riders were going to lie and say I pulled out in front of them which is exactly what they did. Without him I doubt I could have won my case. Even though all the evidence supported my version of the accident. Scary indeed.
