Having kids on TRT

Hey everyone, i knows theres been a few threads about this in the past. I just wanted to know peoples experiences having kids whilst on TRT

Did you have to come off?

What did you take?

How long did it take?

I have not done it myself but a friend of mine is on TRT same protocol as me 100mg/week 600iu HCG /week 1mg ai week and he thought he was going to have to come off to get his wife preg but did not so for whatever thats worth.

I do have a child from a previous relationship, but this was 9 years ago.
But this was when i was 26 y/o, I'm sure my sperm count was higher back then.

I have tried to get my fiancee Pregnant while on TRT
with no luck.

I have started taking hcg this month... maybe it will help... I'm not sure..
I froze my sperm before i started TRT just in case..

How long were you on TRT without HCG ? And out of curiosity, why didn't you run HCG from the get-go?

Being 24 on TRT, this is something I will need to look into forsure. My doc said that with HCG from the start, even on TRT, I should be able to have kids. But if I can't, then I'd have to get off TRT and he would set up a protocol just to get fertile and back on TRT at a later date.

Freezing sperm shouldn't be needed..but like you said, just in case I'll prob get to that also. Would be horrible to want to have kids but not be able to....but I'm sure I'd be able to move on, since many can't have kids...with or without TRT for other various reasons.

I think its mainly a genetic thing, since I'm sure everyone knows someone or knows of someone that got their girl pregnant while on cycle or after long cycles with no pct or idea of what they were doing.

I have only been on TRT since Feb 2012, My doc started me just on Test to see how i responded.. Once I got my levels right and made the adjustments in dosages
to get me "feeling" better.


We talked about putting me on Hcg to get my balls back in action.. I have only been on HCG for about 3 weeks now.

Since adding the Hcg 500iu 3xweek I have not notice any change in how I "feel" or in body composition.

However, My fiancee did say to me.. "Your balls don't look like almonds anymore" lol

Regarding Freezing sperm, I did it the week before i started the TRT.. I knew that my sperm count would probably be nothing if I had waited after I started the TRT... it wasn't cheap but way worth it..
plus it gave my fiancee "peace of mind" about me me getting on TRT, having a back up plan

I don't recommend putting children (especially girls) on TRT but that's just me! LOL.

I think being on HCG is almost mandatory while doing TRT and planning future children. It at least keeps the testicles at a trickle...
