endo appt coming up
After being a squeaky wheel to my dr long enough she finally ran some more tests for my high calcium levels. I have hyperparathyroidism. My parathyroid numbers were way high, supposed to be 30-65,mine was 131. If theres anyone who has or had parathyroid problems please post or shoot me a pm. So my dr is turning it over to an endo. So I'll prob come off trt with some hcg and clomid. Here are the highlights from the tests phosphorus serum 2.1 low range (2.5-4.5 normal).Uric acid at 7.1 and said it could def. be linked. T3 uptake was high at 36 (22-35normal), MCV was ok this time and MCH was low, ionized calcium 5.8 high (4.8-5.6normal),PTH 131 high 10-65 normal range. RBC and hematocrit was good. So if I see an endo what should i tell him. I know its not the gear I've had high calcium for 5 years and only on trt for 2 off and on. Should I play dumb and see what he says?If anyone in the greater SF bay area has a good endo let me know.
I've already read all of the bad stuff when u google hyperparathyroidism would really like to speak to a bro thats been there.

Play dumb.
with rbc and hematocrit in an acceptable range, what is the thought process for thinking you should come off trt? You didn't say, but was your test levels high also?
my endo is in Stockton, and decent, but not great. and Kaiser.

I'm not with kaiser, test level shouldn't be too bad. My recent BW was done 7 days after injection and it was 663 on serum, free was 31.56,and %free was 4.76. This was on app 125mg per week IM at the end of July. I switched to sub q injections shortly after this and lowered the dose to 25mg 3 times per week. I did this in case had to due further BW since it usually takes a week or longer to get another appt with my dr. I just want to avoid problems with the dr and insurance companies more than anything else.

Okay got 2 appts with different endos if I don't like the first one will go to the next. If I like the first one will stick with him. If that doesn't work there's a parathyroid surgery center in florida. They highly recommend removal of the parathyroid gland asap, once removed any bone loss is reversible. The place has a 99.4% success rate and does several removals 5 days per week. Minimally invasive outpatient procedure. Them being in florida with all of the other trt, hrt, pain pill clinics has me a little concerned. Oh well we'll see what happens. I'm sticking with my low dose sub q inj of test c I don't flle like crashing on top of this stuff. As for the cause of hyperparathyroidism, they have no idea what causes it.
