short term benefits can be offset by long term issues.

unless you want your woman to be able to kick yer ass in arm wrestling, i'd suggest holding off until she gets some blood panels and see what's going on regarding her libido/moods.

    Have you thought abouut PT-141?

Agree with TR; while women need a small amount of Testosterone as part of their sex hormone mix, elevated levels can do some very bad things to them.

I'd be more interested in knowing if her estrogen and thyroid serum levels were optimized for better mood and libido along with progesterone.

BTW, the PT-141 one suggestion is a good one

She had blood work, doc put her on 10% test/90% progesterone and it did nothing... SHBG is really elevated
33 never had kids, birth control from 17 to 23 yrs old,
Test levels basically did not even register

She can control her SHBG with Vitamin D and Nettle Root therapy. You will find DHEA to also be a big factor with female HRT.

I would suggest you have your wife join here and post up her stats, labs, and background leading up to her current situation. There's a few ladies here that will chime in and help, including my wife. We have a sticky for female members that has some great information in it, and there's a fairly recent thread from our member, "Sexy4MySweetheart". I'll see about getting her thread added to the sticky if it hasn't been done yet. Our resident female expert is PPC, and she checks in here time to time. She can make a HUGE difference with getting your lady on the right track. However, it will take just a little effort for your wife to get a thread put together here.

And yes, there should be a lot of emphasis on the estrogen and thyroid panels as mentioned by GD. There's a lot of variables here, and a lot more we need to get from her before throwing out too many ideas.

Is it the opposite sex hormone in us that's responsible for sexual desire like testosterone in women?

I read somewhere estrogen in men is responsible for the emotional output of feeling horny while testosterone is is there for the physical mechanics of sex erections etc.

Also read a study they did on male mice removing there estrogen, they no longer had any sexual preference and ended up humping other male mice.
