Blood test results, and how much should be prescribed?
Hey guys, First time posting, long time lurker.
So I've seen many posts about different testing methods, but I'm a little confused about my results. They were read to me over the phone, so this is all the info I have.
Total Test: 256 Range: 250-1100
Free Test: 66.9 Range: 35-155
So I've been to the doctor a couple times now over the last year or two complaining of depression like symptoms, Lack of energy, lack of stamina, and low sex drive. Of course they prescribed wellbutrin, but no change. Anyway, Everything I've read, my symptoms are very similar to low T. (they did a whole blood work panel and everything else came back normal)
Now, the test results look awfully low to me, total is terrible, but not sure about that Free test range?
Anyway, I am going back to the dr and am going to try and get him to prescribe something, I'm assuming T injections. But I'm curious what would a normal amount of Test-E that would be, or should be prescribed to get my levels back into normal?
Thanks all

H Spark. First you need to get a copy of your BW then post it here. Call your doc or the lab. If it's Labcorp they are on line now if you create an account. They said "everything else came back normal" means nothing. Not all docs can interpret BW properly, especially hormone and thyroid panels. Let us take a look here so you get varied opinions from people who've been in your shoes. You need to find the cause of this first before you jump on TRT. It could be thyroid related, cortisol, etc. Need to know your LH/FSH levels, SHBG, Vit D, everything you can provide.
Also, what are your stats?
Take the time and read all the stickies if you have not already. A wealth of information is up there. You will need to know much of this to prepare for your next doctor visit.
And welcome to the forum!

my doc said everything came back normal, my total test was below normal however my free was one point above low normal! and thats how he determined i was normal! don't listen to doctors especially the ones that don't know TRT.
Hey Kel, how do you create an account in LC website? i didn't see a register link!

Here you go B.
Hell, I put in the link but the filter killed it beyond belief. Google labcorp beacon patient sign up and it will get you right there.
Still quicker to have them fax it to you but I just do both anymore. Set up a free virtual fax at faxaway.com or elsewhere and all faxes will come to your mail.Last edited by kelkel; 08-23-2012 at 03:52 PM.
