    Theoretical/Hypothetical Question for the Gurus.

I've searched around a bit looking for the answer to the question of whether or not anyone has been prescribed im test and gels/creams at the same time? What are the potentially harmful effects of this combo, if any? Might there be any beneficial effects? Could anyone break down the science? I'm new to all of this so please go easy on me, but as you may have read, my doc prescribes test like it's 1999. I wanted to know if rubbing yourself down with gels whilst on 200mg test cyp, once monthly, will harm or benefit you? And, NO. I have not done this, yet.. Thanks for looking.

I won't go into all the pharmacological reasons why it's a bad idea to mix Injections with Transdermal applications other then it's not done in practice and not something you want to do.

Agree with G. I know of no studies on mixing the two. And I've looked before. It's also still just test with a different delivery system. Bouncing back and forth could cause issues with E2 and DHT for one. Meaning people on gels usually don't need an AI, even though the aromatase enzyme lives in the skin. Also gels tend to raise DHT levels above what injections do. And how would you know what your numbers are on such a protocol and effectively monitor yourself?

And your doc, clueless as he may be for obvious reasons, might actually pick up on it and then you'd lose your source. I do understand the temptation as I must have 3 full bottles of 1.62% under the sink that I don't use!

    Find a new doc asap!

Its not practical really. But the only reason I can think of doing it is if you were on injections and wanted to take a low dose transdermal to increase your DHT.

But for most people, simpler is better.

The guys did a great job with answering this! At best, stacking them will just lead to unstable results!

Agree with all the above. Pick one and stick with it.

I was surprised at the lack of info about this topic. I thought at the very least I could find search results about someone, somewhere doing a study on this, or at the very least someone on the Internet detailing how horrible or awesome using a combo like this was. I'm sure there are plenty of people who have run both types of test at the same time, but may have decided not to write about it because either A) it doesn't work(no noticeable benefits) or B) it's a dangerous idea that is detrimental to your health. I am assuming that if it was a good combo many, many more people would be talking about and using such a protocol? I'm just going to hang in there with the IM test cyp while I wait for an appointment with my new Endo. Thanks again for the input men. It's appreciated.
