Low LH and FSH Levels - TRT
Hi
I have been researching testicular atrophy for some time now.
Most post out there are really old, and I was wondering if anything has changed over the past years to correct testicular atrophy and low Test levels in your body.
I have gained significant fat between my lats and my chest, I do eat clean and and do cardio but nothing seems to help. I started doing some more researched and found that this could be a cause of high estrogen levels and very low test levels in once body.
Went to a doc and got my levels tested.
WOW what a shock I got:
FSH: 0.1 Normal level should be 1,5->12
LH: 0.5 Normal level should be 1,7->8.6
Test: 5.4 - Normal level should be higher than 12
He recommended that I use clomid EOD for three months. Im not so sure
What do you recommend?

In the meantime read the stickies.
Good luck.

Hello Lean. How old are you and what are your stats? Ht, wt, estimated body fat %. If I'm reading your LH/FSH #'s correctly they are in the tank and indicative of a possible pituitary issue (secondary hypogonadal.) You need to talk to your doc about obtaining an MRI to rule in or out any pituitary pathologies before you begin any treatment, IMO. Your pituitary signals the testies via LH/FSH to produce both Test/Spermatogenesis. Low or no signal = low or no testosterone production. Any doctor seeing such low numbers should have ordered the MRI already.
You also need complete BW which is in the Finding a TRT Physician Sticky. All is important and many things can cause low T. Be sure you review it and get it if you do not have it and post it for review here. If you happen to have older BW take a look at the LH/FSH panels and see how they were.
So, MRI first. There has to be a reason for such low panels and clomid may be a waste of time if a pathology is present. If no pituitary issue and other BW is decent then I'd consider clomid/nolva, etc.
Welcome to the forum. And read the stickies again. Alot to digest up there!

Hi Kel,
Thank you so much for the info,
I'm 34years old, 6.2, 116kg and 22% body fat.
I did finish a protocol of 100mg test/dop and 325mg Equi.
NOW, knowing that it was a disaster of a protocol, I wanted to do my PCT and clean my body up.
I did a complete liver, kidney and prostate screening and everything is 100%.
Just my test levels are really in a bad place.
MY PCT consisted of Nolva/Kessar at 50mg and 20mg every day for three weeks.
I did not ad any HcG as I was told it was not necessary
Thank you for the adviceLast edited by LeanMass001; 08-24-2012 at 10:49 AM.

Hi Guys
Do apologise and sure don't want to waste anybodies time here
It just been three months already and the BW was done two weeks back
That is what I am worried about, as I have picked up so much body fat in the last two months.
Appreciate your patience

Welcome LeanMass. Hormone therapy will take time and will require continuous lab workups. It sounds like your diet needs to get in check to match up with your protocol. You are in good hands here.

Like GD said, you need another re-start. Hit the pct forum and google Dr. Michael Scallys power pct program.
