Results after 4 blood lettings and 1 month no TRT

    Quick recap.

Approx 5 weeks ago had a scare with my hemoglobin and hematocrit elevated.

    Hemoglobin - 20
    Hematocrit - 55+

Stopped TRT and immediately started blood letting 1 pint a week for 4 weeks.

Today went to see doc and here are the results of 4 blood lettings and no testosterone injections for 4+ weeks.

    hemoglobin - 15.5
    hematocrit - 46.6

Going back in 3 weeks to get another updated BW.

No testosterone till after that visit and getting full BW done at lapcorp. Will post results.

thanks for reporting back GFA, i was waiting for this post. i am surprised you only went down to normal, but then again your body could have recovered within one week even if your levels went way down. go to see progress in that area. how do you feel without TRT so far, is your doc doing anything to kick start your natural production in meanwhile?

I was probably lower, it was 2 weeks since my last letting, not sure how quickly it is going up. Feel ok with no TRT, no plan to kickstart production, considering I was at 80 something before TRT, not sure how high it would go anyway.

My libido is still really high, no issues down there so far. Feel better now than I did with high RBCs & 700+ testosterone levels .

My hematologist said you can have a stroke or heart attack at those levels. Your blood becomes exponentially thicker the higher the levels get, its not a linear progression in viscosity.

One day I woke up and felt intoxicated, thats when it was at 20/55. The intoxicated feeling was more apparent when walking around. The best way I could explain it was I felt drunk. My speech was fine but I was stumbling around and mind was all foggy. It was pretty scary. I went to ER but they just sent me home and said the same thing, you are fine.

Anyways if your levels are that high I would go see a blood doc (hematologist) and get your levels back down to normal, your doc doesnt sound experienced in this area.

Thanks for posting the full BW, I see your WBC are mid range, usually for most its in the upper range. Mine went very low due to frequent blood letting and taking painkillers! I was curious to see if yours was down due to the frequent blood letting and it looks like it did have some effect on it.

Ya I also found it interesting that my hematocrit/hemoglobin went down even more after my last checkup with no additional blood lettings. My RBC is still a little high but the blood doc doesn't really seem interested in that, more in hematocrit being around 45.

Now I have to find the sweet spot with blood lettings and test @100mg a week. Maybe I just needed a good flush, kinda like our cars need their motors fluids flushed once in awhile

BTW i just found out that my WBC are naturally low, it was always border line low and never paid attention to it until it went below normal. i still think the aleve did effect it a bit. we'll see in the next BW!

I just saw my WBC from earlier this year it was in the 6 range.

I got the green light to start up TRT again, 100mg a week for the next 6 weeks then I will get a followup done. No blood donations during that time to get an idea how quickly my blood thickens then schedule blood lettings/donations accordingly.

I predict 1x a month will keep it normalized.

Now I can get back to some serious lifting! I cant believe how much strength I lost after stopping TRT.

    Hey all,

Been while since my last update. Been around 6 weeks since starting up TRT again. Went to hematologist last week, hematocrit was 46 and hemoglob 16.3. Numbers creeping up again.

I have been finding it more and more difficult to inject each week, like my legs are starting to scar up and hard to get the needle in.

Donating a pint of blood tomorrow and next week will be going in for another blood letting.

Looks like I will need a monthly letting to keep blood normal.

I am considering clomid as another option, saw a thread earlier about it. Will discuss with doc next week when I see him, see if he would be willing to try.

Could it be your not hydrating enough, I'm going through the same thing right now, so I found a thread on another forum were a guy started using pedylite after his morning coffee, up'd his water intake and had a grapefruit every day, he said his doctor was amazed at how he naturally controlled his symptoms... I started having symptoms two weeks ago with high BP, itchy skin, brain fog, shortness of breath. So I stay away from salty foods, and iron rich foods, also started drinking pedylite in the morning and before bed, after a workout too, also started eating a hole grapefruit, (before or after a high protien meal) and lowered my dose of test cyp to 40mg twice a week... I have yet to donate blood, but I am feeling much better and most of my symptoms have gone, ( itchy skin, high BP, brain fog). I'm going to retest in a few weeks to see what the numbers are, also need to get down and donate soon.
