The doc I saw today was the one who did my thyroidectomy...he was willing to write the script for Cyp and HGH...he's calling my internist and hopefully things will go my way..Best Ive felt in years was on Cyp...

[QUOTE=MRNJ1992;6136137]Just got bloodwork back.
Results are vit D 48.4 scale 30-100,
Low, should be at the upper end of the reference range.
5-a-Dihydrotestosterone 318.0 scale 106.0-719.0,
Mid and ok, but better in the up 80% of the reference range.
T3 147 scale 58-159,
Why just T3 and not T4? T3 is best at the upper end of the reference range and you're right there!
TSH 0.0018 scale 0.35-4.94
Is the .0018 correct or a typo?
DHEA 91.9 scale 10-619,
Best at 500 to 600; you are very low.
Estradiol [6] 10,
I don't know what this means or the reference range. Was this a sensitive assay?
Testosterone total 182.5 scale 249-836,
Clinically low because you are in HPTA suppression from previous protocol.
psa 0.66 scale 0.0-4.0,
Fine
IGF -1 170 scale 66-296,
Fine, could be a little higher.
Free T 19.87 scale 4.6-15.3,
If this is Free Testosterone and above the reference range when you haven't been on your protocol for 4 months is very odd especially in light of your Total Testosterone levels .
Cholesterol 193, triglycerides 74 scale < 150,
LH, FSH,Progesterone all in range.
What does this mean? You could have very low LH and still be in the reference range but it will still cause problems.
See above.

tsh is correct. I have numbers for LH-1.17, FSH-4.57, progesterone 0.2, dosent give range for these...my t-4 was 12.69 range is 4.20-11.00, as for estradiol-they dont give a range as for the total T and free T the doc dosent have an answer for one being so low and the other high

GD, I have read on STTM that Total T3 and T4 tests are "worthless" and that only the Free T3 and T4 tell you anything. I have noticed you do pay attention to Total T4 and T3. Is there evidence that STTM is wrong about this?

Agree that cyp and HCG would be the route to go. Look at adding DHEA and Pregnenolone to your protocol as well. Vitamin D should help to lower your SHBG, which will enhance your free & bio available test.
Need to know more about your E2. See if you can't put together a sensitive lab. I get the feeling it's on the low side, regardless. Not much going on upstream to help the conversion process. That will change with a good protocol involving the other hormones mentioned upstream.

the T3 levels are total

Yeah that's what I thought based on the reference range you provided. Being that you had a thyroidectomy I would highly recommend you get the following labs:
TSH
FREE T4
FREE T3
Reverse T3
I would also recommend looking into Armour Thyroid instead of Levothyroxine (generic for Synthroid , which is T4 only). Lots of good info over at www.stopthethyroidmadness.com on thyroid stuff. Worth reading if you haven't taken a look yet.
LOL I think that's the first I've heard of an ENT doctor handling someone's TRT but as long as your comfortable and getting good treatment that's what counts.

Funny you say that-was on armour thyroid 120 grain a few years ago and couldnt get it anymore-forget the reason why...but it see it floating around again. As for the ENT-he's the guy who originally suggested the Cyp shots when he saw my bloodwork a few years ago. Great guy-was ready to give me the scripts for T, HCG , andHGH,,,,Today LOT to think about.

Yeah man sounds like he's a good Doc. My dad uses his GastroEnterologist for everything including his annual check-ups just because he knows the guy and trusts him.
Armour I believe had some issues getting enough porcine glands a couple of years ago and there was a shortage. I'm on it now so I know it's available. There's a lot of mis-information out there about it put out by synthetic thyroid medication makers. Anyway definitely go check out the STTM website.

I'd like your opinion on a good weekly protocol for me. Doc will prescribe Cyp and HCG . How much of each and how often considering all my bloodwork. Thanks Gdevine.
