Cool On HRT for 5 months. 3 weeks into "blast" -- when see gains?

I am 31 and was put on 200 mg of Test - C per week and I also take Arimidex twice a week, .5 mg. Original test was 358 and e2 was around 40. My doc is liberal and also bumped up my Test to .8 cc a week, or 300 mg for my HRT. At 200 mg I was at 968 total test and free test was at the top of the range. He is cool with having my test level slightly higher, as he works in a bodybuiding gym.

I know all the risks, etc., as I am a nurse, so I'm really here to have some questions answered as far as when gains start to show up from an actual cycle (for those who have started a cycle dose after being on HRT). I've lurked this site for a few years and I've wanted to do my first cycle for a long time.

I've decided to blast and cruise, and have bumped my test up to 600 mg for 12 weeks. I've been on the 600 mg for 2.5 weeks now and I haven't really noticed any strength gain, libido jump or additional mass. When does this start to show up?

I posted this in the HRT section because I feel that those who have blasted and continue to cruise on their HRT will have the most experience with answering my questions. Plus, while reading these forums I've found the HRT guys to be much friendlier.

at 200 mgs per week you are blasting bro, LOL! 600 is a cycle, and it is a misconception that injecting test is better and faster. first and foremost that has anything to do with gains and strength is your diet and workout, adding testosterone is like adding cardio to your diet for losing weight. cardio alone won't help you lose weight if your diet is not clean! so my question is, how your diet and workout structure. don't need details, only totals like how many mgs protein, carbs, fats and frequency of your meals. what does your workout consists of? how much weight and how many sets and reps? and finally what are your starts, weight, height, BF%? BTW, the effects can take up to 4 weeks!

true at 300mg per week you are blasting. Myostatin will go up and your gains will diminish. If you want to blast go on 100mg per week or off for a while then go to 600.

From what I've read on here the past few years, and from my own friends and personal experience, 200mg a week of testosterone is a common weekly dose for hormone replacement therapy. It is pretty much the max that most doctors prescribe, but it is still a very common dose (even though some individuals may be on less).

As far as the "blast and cruise" is concerned --- I was under the impression that the "blast" part is when you up your dose of test (or add additional AAS), for a short period of time, like twelve weeks. Then, the "cruise" portion is when you go back down to your HRT dose, say 200mg a week. You cruise all year with a few "blast" / cycles.

    Is this an incorrect understanding?

I would disagree with this statement; 200mg is not "very commom" - 100mg per week would be "very common".

Most TRT Docs "in the know" are now starting their guys out at 60mg to 80mg a week and getting great results.

200mg, while seen at times prescribed by TRT Physicians, is more the exception then the rule; or seen in cases where a Physician is prescribing with little knowledge.

Like bass said, 200mg is blasting.

Just to chime in it takes 160mg a week to get me close to 800, 200mg puts at 1250, although I feel better at the lower dose.

My question for OP is what dose puts you where, verified by blood work and how do you feel. or did you just start blasting?

As with any cycle you will start to see results about week 4 to answer the original question that is if your diet and exercise program are in check.

I am in a similar situation, 200 puts me at 900 range total test. so i agree it depends on if you have a reason to be on the high dose. What is your AI dose at 600 mg?

jez, you Yanks get crazy doses for trt!!!

in the UK, if you opt for either sust or nebido and if you take sust, wait for this, its 250mgs PER MONTH!! that is way too low but i will also say that 300mgs per week is way to high!

when i self prescribed i did 250mg's per week test e and looking back it was too much, i feel much better on nebido at 1000mg's 10wks

I live in California, land of fruits and nuts. Maybe that would explain my dosage. In any event, my test was at around 960 at 200mg / week, as I stated in my original post. I asked if I could be bumped to 300 because I wanted a higher test level and the lab he uses has the top range as 1700.

I don't want to be on 300 mg long-term, but I did want to do a cycle. I'll prob go back down to 200 mg a week as my maintenance dose and extra test I get for being on 300 mg a week I will just stockpile for a future cycle.

Back to my original question though -- I am on week 3 of 600 mg (first cycle), and wanted some insight as to how many weeks it takes before you notice gain in mass. Anyone on HRT with experience from a cycle?

LOL, the "200 Basher Club" is alive & well I see. While 200 mgs a week "is" at the high end of TRT dosing, it is "not" blasting. No offense, but the people stating this really need to check themselves. What you are doing here (on a continuous basis btw) is stating personal opinions that are really nothing more than bro-science at best with nothing to back it up. This is a great site, but it loses credibility when members swing from each other's nut-sacks on certain issues based on personal opinions alone. In the end, dosing is very individual & should be based on Blood Work & how one feels. My TRT Doctor runs his practice & his own personal TRT care that way with excellent results. Aside from the need to donate blood every 60 days, my own personal BW is fine @ 200 mgs/week and has been for going on 3 years now. Sorry for being so blunt, but it harms this site IMO when people over-step their boundaries by automatically telling people that their dosing is too high. That’s my $0.02 & the flame-suit is on ;-)

Keep an eye on your RBCs (hemoglobin and hematocrit). @100 mg a week my levels crept up on me and now I am off TRT awhile to get my RBCs in check. You will probably want to donate blood as often as possible.

120mgs a week only got me in the 400 range... So I agree everyone is different... I just started 180mg a week and will see where it puts me...Alot of these guys that are taking lower doses are also on a healthy dose of hcg , which helps raise there levels.
