    Cool Need Help

The past 6 years have flown by me. To sum things up I have gotten married, finished school, had to kids and moved 500 miles away for a new job. Things where all good until February. I got on the scale and was 280lbs. I about shit. I used to live on this site. I ran many many cycles with great success. Just other things in life popped up and I balloned up 60lbs.

I started a 7 day a week program which has got me down to 243 lbs over the past 6 months. I'm reppping 225 again. Old cloths fit. Things are great. Until about 3 months ago when I started being so tired I cannot make it through out the day with out a 2-3 hour nap.

I went and had blood work done with a general practioniar. Everything checked out except my test level. It was 200. He really could answer the questions I had or he wasn't to confident about what I did ask him.

He retook blood work again to compare test. I see him in 2 weeks to start a trt program. I understand that it is a life long commitment if I start it. I don't have a problem if that is what it takes. How do I find a good endocrinologist that migh be more knowledgeable about his.

I want to get down another 30 lbs and run a cycle again. I want to get built again like I used to be.
    Please help !

Instead of a general practitioner it might be wise to find an actual TRT doctor but if this doctor is willing to help and puts you on a decent dosage of test cyp then you might want to stick around. At 200 your levels are very low and I speak from experience.Youre definitely goin to be pleased with treatment.Your many cycles at a younger age may have hurt your system but at least now theres help.TRT is a blessing because its legal, its monitored, its relatively safe, and it works.Yes it may be a lifelong thing but with your levels that low its only gonna get worse.Mine were at 477 at 37 years old which was last year..now Im batting a little over 1000 and has been consistent for the last 6 months.Takes a few months to reach a great level but youll get there with the right doctor.I started working out only two months ago and look at my avatar pic.I stopped lifting for a whole year but with good muscle memory, great nutrition, willpower, and many years of off and on weight training experience Im getting leaner, bigger, and better little by little. You wont regret it.Hope to hear good news from you soon. And the cialis which you mentioned in the other thread youre not gonna need it.Hope this helps.

    Hi Henry,

Welcome back to the site. First thing you need to do before you jump into TRT is to determine whether it's actually needed or not. This starts with you blood work. If possible we need you to post it here with complete ranges. Include everything there is. You said "everything checked out." According to who? We are especially interested in you LH/FSH level, complete thyroid panels, E2, Cortisol, pretty much all you got. If certain items are incomplete, such as LH/FSH and thyroid then I would suggest getting those panels run before you start treatment. Proper BW is in the Finding a Physician sticky if you need it. Obtain and keep copies of all your BW from this point forward.

Too many docs see low serum T and automatically slap you on a some form of test without locating the actual problem, which may be fixable. Please understand that just because they are a doc is does not mean they know hormones or can interpret BW properly. The reason we ask for LH/FSH is to determine proper function of you pituitary which signals your Testies via LH/FSH to produce testosterone and spermatogenesis. If your pituitary is not performing up to par and you have low LH/FSH and low T then it's possible you are secondary hypogonadal. At this point you would need an MRI to rule pathologies in or out. If your LH/FSH is high and you have low T then the issue may lie with your testicals making you possibly primary hypogonadal.

The reason we need to see full thyroid panels is that being Hypothyroid will cause Hypogonadism. Even high cortisol levels can pretty much shut down testosterone production.

In the sticky you were referred to are some tactics to help find a better doctor. Remember that titles of Endo or Euro really mean nothing. You just have to find a doc who knows hormones and will work with you.

Again, welcome to the forum and please take the time to read all the stickies. Valuable info there and it will save you a lot of time and effort.

    Kel

Thanks buddy, I asked doc if I would be able to have children on a trt program. ? He said I'm not sure I will have to find out. It didn't make me feel to comfortable with him. I would like to have 1 more child next year.
