    LSH FSH on bloodwork

Had a couple of health scares that pushed me to get some blood work done. Dr told me last week everything looked good and today faxed over the results. I have some questions because I do have some abnormalities on there that she didnt even mention.

Great thing was I had high ALT and after UDCA and taking Atomis advice I got them back in a good range.

Before I started TRT I dosed myself 500mg for 16 weeks and over the past month I have brought it down to 150 mg. My tot is a 928 range 249-836 I know its high but I am sure it will come down a little but as the lower doses start to hit. Free is 29.92 range 8.80-27

Here is where I am confused. I know LSH FSH are going to be low from natural production being shut down but I thought HCG should help combat that. MY LSH FSH are .10 I ran HCG through out my cycle and still use it before shot days. Am I understanding this incorrectly, or is it possible my hcg is garbage?

A little disappointed because she didnt run estrogen like I asked.

Other abnormalities is bun slightly elevated but it was early am and I may have been dehydrated. Viatamin D which she is giving me prescription for. HDL Chol being 38 when range is >40 and LDL 117 high range <100 I have to look this one up on the net I have no idea what it is

    Any thoughts would be great

I'm no expert by any means, but as I understand it, HCG is an LH analogue, so it will carry out the same functions as LH, but will not actually raise it's level.

Somebody correct me if i'm off base please.

    gbrice you got it right.

I feel your pain on not running estrogen. Wanted baseline levels back when I did my first testosterone labs, doc apparently just ignored my request, I stated it plenty clear. But maybe he thought I was confused about what were the mail sex hormones. Kind of annoying. But you can order yourself up some E2 labs, something you will want to check out.

LH and FSH are not worth testing if you're on TRT. HCG , as stated, is simply a similar acting drug to LH in the brain. It doesn't stimulate LH, rather mimics it.

Your cholesterol could be off because you were dosing high androgens.

Also, you don't need to get prescription vitamin D as the OTC version is perfectly fine. Its probably preferable in fact, but both versions should get the job done. Walmart D is probably cheaper than your copay, however, and will last longer. Its about 10 dollars for a year supply.

And when you get the e2 test be sure to ask for SENSITIVE or ultrasensitive (quest) because otherwise the test is a waste of money, and you get no valuable info.

You would think my cholesterol would be high though not abnormally low right?

    Thanks for your input everyone.

You want HDL high and LDL low, but androgens will typically effect this negatively.

High protein diet will also throw off your BUN.

Rwy, you can always get some labs a la carte at www.privatemdlabs.com

Their E2 sensitive assay should be fairly reasonable, and I can shoot you over a 15% discount from their weekly emails.

Yea that would be great. i am self employed so my insurance covers onll 3/4 my blood work. I have racked up 1200 in blood work bills this year already. Any saves would be great! Thanks
