Test Cream
I see a lot of hate on here for topical Test products. I started on TRT back in April and my doc put me on Test Cream (Verabase) from a compounding pharmacy.
Start Dose:
100mgs per day
April BT:
Total Test - 296
Free Test - 53
(Typical symptoms : Unmotivated, depressed, poor sleep quality)
August BT:
Total Test -1093
Free Test - 293
(Feel like I'm in my mid 20s again) Doctor says they overshot me and reduce my dose.
Anyone else have good results with the Cream?

The hate is because the cream stops working for a lot of people. Some can't absorb it at all. And it seems like many docs prescribe too little cream and the guys end up with lower test levels than they started.
I think cream is a great option and even doctors like Dr. Crisler say's its the best treatment. Good that your doctor gave you an adequate dose from a compound pharmacy and it's working for you..

If you're getting good results from it, and you are; then stick with it.
There are many upsides to Transdermal applications like there are down sides.
Have you had your DHT tested by any chance?

Yes I just had DHT tested too. It was at like 154 for a range of 30-100 or something. Doc said its a little over but that was to be expected.

My total test was almost the same and I have been on 65mg a day cream for the last 5 weeks. I feel hella better and I am curious what my numbers will be when I test next. Thinking about doing it in a week or so. Is that long enough or should I wait longer? My Doc is great and even wrote me a script for HCG , and I have been on it for 2 weeks.

I get tested every eight weeks, and I think that's average. I did get put on HCG which is awesome btw. My libido on HCG and Test is through the roof. Good stuff.
My doc also told me to jump on HGH, even though she can't prescribe it in my state. If it wasn't so pricey I would already be on it.

What can lower DHT? It seems that back in the day 1-testosterone would increase my DHT. Prostate would swell a bit but saw palmetto always fixed it.

I am taking Saw Palmetto now, and doc said if it got worse she probably prescribe Finastride.

DO NOT take Finasteride! Please do your research on this horrific drug; it does much harm to men.
Saw palmetto appears to interact with various sex hormones, including dihydrotestoseteron (DHT).
DHT is produced from testosterone by enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase. Like most enzymes, it can be inhibited.
There has been great medical interest in substances that have the potential for inhibiting 5-alpha-reductase, and thereby preventing or treating elevated DHT levels and/or benign prostate hyperplasia for that matter.
Theoretically, saw palmetto could also be used to block DHT and prevent hair loss in some men. Saw palmetto is believed to have a similar mechanism of action to the anti-androgenic drug finasteride (Propecia), which has been used in low doses for hair loss...but again I warn you to not use finasteride and do your research on this drug (that I believe should be banned by the FDA).

My first experiences with TRT was a prescription for AndroGel . Worked great for five months, but then I started having some issues with it, and my good experiences all the sudden went to unstable.
Like GD stated, if you get good results with it then go for it. I personally have my reservations about TD's, based on my personal experiences and the many stories I've interacted with over the years here.
