    Lipids
    Cholesterol, total 151 mg/dL (100-199)
    Triglycerides 67 mg/dL (0-149)
    HDL Cholesterol 47 mg/dL (>39)
    VLDL Cholesterol Cal 13 mg/dL (5-40)
    LDL Cholesterol Calc 91 mg/dL (0-99)
    T. Chol/HDL Ratio 3.2 ratio units (0.0 - 5.0)
These are fine. LDL could come down some. Look at supplementing Red Yeast Rice.

    CBC
    WBC 9.7 x10E3/uL (4.0-10.5)
    RBC 5.17 x10E6/uL (4.14-5.80)
    Hemoglobin 15.8 g/dL (12.6-17.7
    Hematocrit 46.1 % (37.5-51)
Note: There's quite a few more results for CBC. Let me know what else you'd like/need to see.
    These are fine as well.

    PSA Total+% Free
Prostate Specific Ag, Serum (Roche ECLIA methodology) 0.2 ng/mL (0.0-4.0)
    PSA, Free 0.13 ng/mL (N/A)
    % Free PSA 65.0 % (N/A)
No Prostate issues...always a good thing for a man.

    Testosterone , Free & Total
    Testosterone , Serum 1261 ng/dL (348-1197)
    Free Testosterone (Direct) 32.7 pg/mL (8.7-25.1)
Depending upon when you had your blood drawn in relationship to your injection these are a tad bit high but nothing to freak out about. You cold lower your dosage by 20mg per injection if you wanted to make sure you stayed within the physiological levels. I live around here as well and like it very much

    LH 0.1 mIU/mL (1.7-8.6) low, expected
    FSH <0.2 mIU/mL (1.5-12.4) low, expected
These are standard with any complete panel but are useless for us now.

    Thyroxine (T4) Free (Direct) 1.13 ng/dL (0.82-1.77)
    Thyroxine (T4) 6.6 ug/dL (4.5-12.0)
    Triiodothyronine (T3) 127 ng/dL (71-180)
    TSH 2.830 uIU/mL (0.450-4.500)
Looks like Thyroid is a bit sulggish. TSH under 1 is ideal. It's slightly elevated meaning that your Thyroid may be working a bit hard. FT4 is best at the upper range and you are closer to the bottom but nothing to freak out about. The important T3 is about normal but you'd like to see this at the top of the range. Do some research on www.stopthethyroidmeddness.com and look for the supplements you want to add to make the Thyroid more productive.

DHEA, Serum 58 ng/dL (31-701) note: need to start supplementing to bring this up
Yes, need to back fill the pathways. Take 50mg of micronized DHEA every morning.

Estradiol (Roche ECLIA methodology) 23.8 pg/mL (7.6-42.6) Looking decent?? Note: I asked for the sensitive assay, but don't see that noted anywhere in the results... ??
    Perfecto!!!

SHBG, Serum 42.2 nmol/L (16.5-55.9) Note: This is about 10 points lower than my last labs before starting, but I still want to get it much lower. Started Vitamin D3, going to start Stinging Nettles next
    You know what to do.

Overall I'd say you look pretty decent for your first BW GB; make some of the minor adjustments noted and be healthy my friend

Awesome! But do Hemo and Hema not look high-ish... I mean, both are close to the top number of the range. Is this normal?

Agreed. I would like to get total down but keep free up above the reference range... am I thinking about this the right way?

So drop these from future labs? I got them this time just to see if they were low as I was expecting (another sign that the test is in fact doing it's thing).

Thanks for the link. I have no doubt my thyroid is a little sluggish. Partially explains why I so easily store bodyfat and have such a tough time losing it.

    Ordering DHEA and Preg shortly

I filled my adex script to have on hand, however I guess there's no need at this point to start taking it. Is there where we'd always ideally like E2 to be... mid-range?

    GD nailed it as expected:

Hemo/Hema is great. Stop worrying. In the future begin the routine of giving blood.

Drop LH/FSH. Waste of time. Secondary BW in sticky.

E2 perfect between 20-30 but base it on how you feel. You're not a number. Read: http://www.lef.org/magazine/mag2010/...ing-Men_01.htm

SHBG: Remember what I told you before. Quickest way to lower it is to bump up T. This you did by starting your protocol.

    Happy for you. Great results!

Just a note about low SHBG; many men complain of real bad anxiety when they get in the lower 25 percentile.

SHBG is best mid to lower mid range.

If you've never experienced anxiety, trust me, it's not good at all.

I'd have OCD since I was like 9, so I know how awful anxiety is. If your SHBG is low, how do you raise it? From what I gather from wikipedia, exogenous testosterone lowers SHBG and exogenous estrogen (like birth control) raises it.

Estrogen's tend to increase SHBG production while androgen's tend to decrease it's production.

For starters making sure the Thyroid is functioning at optimal levels; poor performing Thyroid will see suppression in SHBG.

Supplements like Soy and Flax can raise it; but I caution men here on these two supplements as they are estrogen mimics and not what we want in our bodies...ever.

A bit OT, but you can try adding in some DHEA 50mg micronized each morning and see if that helps your anxiety...do you know your DHEA-S levels?

Just got it done last week, here's the result:

This is gb's thread and we don't want to hijack but that could very well explain your anxiety.

Add in 50mg of micronized DHEA in two 25mg doses one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Start a new thread on your condition and we'll jump in...but not here.

    K?

Ugh, I live with anxiety day in and day out. Actually, I was hoping TRT would address it to some extent. Thanks for the info, I will keep an eye on SHBG throughout and make adjustments as needed.

Nope, didn't see it noted on follow up labs in the sticky, but definitely will add it next time. LH/FSH OUT, Cortisol IN!!
