    Trt/hrt

Im still researching this topic so bare with me. I wanted to know what the pro's and con's are of starting TRT willingly? Besides having to inject for the rest of your life, is there any down sides to running 100-200mg's each week?

I know this is a open topic, and still alot to learn. Talking to doctors soon in more detail.

Do you need trt/hrt? If you are low T it's a no brainer to start it. Quality of life will go up and that's a good thing! If you don't require trt/hrt I am not sure what you are asking...

Im asking what are the cons of starting trt? Im not talking about pinning, costs, doctors. Im asking can being on trt hurt your health in any way shape or form?

Hurt your health? No, as long as it is administered and monitored properly within relatively normal levels. Far better than the debilitating effects of low T / high estrogen can have on your health.

Take a minute and read this very informative article: http://www.lef.org/magazine/mag2012/...roversy_01.htm

I'll never go off my TRT protol, I've never felt better had struggled with the side effects of low T for years before being diagnosed.

Now its just routine to take the meds....

I mean running 200mg's a week is better then my body making 50-70mg's a week. Its alot for me to consider. Alot more research to be done.

BTW kelkel, I read the link. Was good to read.

28 is pretty young to be considering TRT I think you had better consider all other options first such as figuring out why your levels are low IF they are. If it's due to your past 2 or 3 cycle then maybe a more aggressive PCT and time.

Dont think it's as easy as pinning 200mg 1x a week and you are g2g. Try reading some more of the post in here. You will see most people do a LOT of work to get their protocol right and then it's still forever changing and being modified.

When is later? I'm 50 in October. If I had a choice I would choose to consider starting HRT in my 80s. It's not a choice one should look forward to. Read my reply to your other post on the subject.

I just turned 50 this year and given the choice I, too, would rather be making all my T myself instead of having to supplement. Since we don't have that choice I'm glad trt is available...

My adviced to t-dogg is don't screw up your natural production.

I don't know of any real downside if properly used. If you already have prostate cancer it can exacerbate the condition other than that nothing comes to mind.

When will be if something happens and I cant recover from a cycle. I highly dout it will be anytime soon, but its good to have a small footing on the subject just in case. Id rather be prepared now with information, then have it happen and be stressing like crazy.

Also alot of guys go TRT willingly. Most are fighters, mma, boxing, sports, ext.
