I'm 22, doc put me on bromo and test, I have some questions.

    Hi guys!

I posted a thread here a few months back about my low test levels. I was about about 236 ng/dl at the time. When I further dug into the situation and did a full hormonal profile, pretty much everything was normal EXCEPT these...

    Serum/total/free etc test

Prolactin. Prolactin was in the 380s!!! I got an MRI done and they found a small tumor on my pituitary but the doc said it won't grow so surgery is not necessary. They also did an ultrasound on my testes and they were normal.

I was put on Bromocriptine 5 mg a day and Test Enanthate 200mg/week.

    Now my question is...

Since the hyperprolactin is causing my test levels to be low (from feedback loop) wouldn't it be better to JUST treat the prolactin and not take the test? It makes sense...

low prolactin -> test inhibition will stop -> body naturally produces normal test.

Instead, what I'm stuck with is this.

1.) Bromocriptine- I told the doc to give me cabergoline and she said "try this first" and I took it for 2 days and stopped because I threw up and passed out when I took the med.

2.) Test E. without hcG , seriously? I'm 22 and this is a perfect way to mess me up for good.

    What do you guys think?

good for you for being cautious, you're way too young for TRT and at that dose, my goodness! don't do anything yet, see another doctor that knows TRT well, take all your labs, MRI's and medical reports with you and show it to the new doc. you may want to consider other options like hCG mono therapy, maybe add nolva as well, but of course this has to be discussed with your doc first. TRT is for life and you could easily live another 60-70 years, TRT for 60-70 years i don't think so! hang in there, others will chime in soon.

    Thanks Bass.

I already took one shot in my thigh yesterday before I realized what I was doing. Hopefully no damage is done yet. I felt pretty crazy in the gym though.

I read all the stickies including the one explaining how to find a trt doctor. However, I have been unsuccessful after 3 different docs. I live in the dallas area if someone can hear my plea.

I called a GP doc near by and asked the staff if the doctor prescribed hcg and all I got was "we can get you in on Saturday"
This is quite frustrating; I don't want to destroy my body because of some stupid physician!!

    Sworder,
    I'm mirin those asthetics!

Also, the problem with these rating systems is that they are mainly dealing with diabetic, other hormonal disorder etc diseases.

I say this because all 3 doctors I went to were top rated and I still had this issue. That's why a personal reference or something of the sort would be better. Thank you tho

Start with the bromo like the doctor recommended. The nausea is very common especially if you swallow the whole pill, start small and work your way up. Besides that I would get a second opinion and not start TRT before I got a second opinion. Just my 2 cents.

Like 6-8 years to build a proper foundation that I can build off, then a couple cycles to get things moving past the barrier.
You can do it! It's time-consuming and you have to really want it. Diet and training is key.

ive been training consistently for almost 2 years now and I cant put on any more muscle. I would say I look like I've been training that long at all..

I train consistently, push myself to the limit and my diet is very good. (I weigh all my foods to make sure im getting 1.5g/lb protein and get my healthy fats in too.

Its rather frustrating that I cant grow due to hormonal issues and what not. I always have my gym friends telling me how I'm doing such and such wrong just because I tell them I have hormonal issues. "Dude u are just making excuses!"

HA! Say the guys who bulk on taco bell and mcdonalds

Lack of androgens will impede your growth! Once you get everything straightened with your current testosterone levels , you should be able to continue growing.

That's great news. I can't wait until I get to something like your level. Look at those shoulders!

Also, I hear the foundation thing all the time. Theoretically, can't you "accelerate" to your naturally obtainable foundation using steroids ? I don't know if that makes sense but basically your natural genetic limit only using steroids to get there faster
