Members Opinion on our "Company Name" for HRT

Ok guys.... Today I have spent a lot of time thinking of a name to call our company. I have spent hours coming up with catchy names, names that describe our business, and names that would be easy to remember. After beating my head against the wall, I have realized that perhaps we already have the perfect company name. Let me set the stage for what I am thinking:

I am thinking of opening up MANY clinics all across the country. (over time) I am visualizing the front of the clinics from the street or on a sign. With this plan, I am picturing ONE website that can direct our clients to all of our different locations. So if you are in Texas, you go to HormoneReplacementTherapy.com, click Texas, and then choose your city closest to you. (I am sure you see how this works). Anyway, what do you think about us simply calling the company:

    HormoneReplacementTherapy.com, Inc

This company name does several things. It appears to be a national brand. The name tells EXACTLY what we do. It drives traffic to the website simply by seeing the name on a sign or building. It gives the feel of being an "Authority" company just by the sheer fact that we have that domain name and in this day in age, most people know the value of a premium domain like that and will automatically assume that we are not some rickety start up.

What do you guys think of this? Continue thinking of some fancy name like "Vitality Clinic" or "Forever Young" OR go with our domain name and build a brand off of it?

    Thoughts?

Bc - You know this story; but back during the mid 90's when the Internet was first taking off I was recruited to be the Chief Marketing Officer for a South Florida based technology based mortgage bank.

We had Internet presence but our URL was our company name "FirstMortgageNetwork.com" and it did OK but nothing great.

I personally knew the individual who owned the URL Mortgage.com and one of the first things I did was acquire the name for our website.

Without getting into all the details of what is like to own a business vertical name as your website address BUT it was huge to say the least...and keep in mind, this was 1998!

As soon as we went live with the URL and launched the new site traffic went through the preverbal roof and I kid you not...and the mortgage leads we couldn't keep up with them!

You can figure out why, it was the most common search term for someone looking for mortgage financing.

We then changed the companies name to Mortgage.com...and the rest is history.

So, I guess you know my vote; HormoneReplacementTherapy.com is about as intuitive as it gets for TRT on the Internet and it will only get bigger.

So yea, company name and company URL...it's a no brainer for this old marketer!

Totally agree with HormoneReplacementTherapy.com. It may be long but it's to the point and gets the job done (usually a friday night line for me.)

I guess SaveMyTesticals.com isn't working for you? Damn.

Absolutely agree. I think when people first sense a problem it's the obvious name to search for. Not some off the wall catchy or indirectly related name

    thanks Kelkel
    In bold above...

i agree with two above, especially for expanding into the future.

with the low-T commercials and male hormones getting more and more attention, i think the name you have chosen will best suit it.

as far as the clinic name, i think you need something catchy to get the big money grippers reeled in!

Revitalize, Vitality, Fountain of Youth, etc........................ something along those lines.

My question to that RC is that when you see a company name such as "Vitality Clinic" or "Revitalize", how much will you have to spend marketing the name of those clinics BEFORE people will KNOW what the company does or the services it performs? The catchy names are fun and a cool logo is always nice, but those things only become important after you spend the money getting it branded. A company name such as LowTestosterone.com, Inc. does both. It tells what your company does AND it gives them your web address.

Its interesting that this forum loves the .com name and in the Steroid Q&A section, it is overwhelming in the "flashy name" choice.

We will be using LowTestosterone.com (reasons posted in the other poll thread)

i wasn't talking about a website name or company name, just the Clinic Name.

Would Lowtestosterone.com be on the sign out front? that would just look funny
