    HRT apiontment tomorrow

I have a apt tomorrow and was wondering a couple things.
Should I work out tomorrow before apt? I work out @ 9am and apt is @ 2pm.
If they ask if I have used testosterone before should I say I have? Ive only done 1- 10 week cycle of test cyp.

You're fine if you work out...make sure you fast for at least 12 hours or longer.

Tell them the truth about you entire medical history and aas use...it's only to your benefit and your health.

Trust me, if its an experienced TRT practice they've seen it many many times.

Thanks gd I figured honesty is best. Didnt want them to think I was just trying to score a source. I usually dont eat till 1-2pm anyways so fasting will be easy.

^^^^Agreed and be humble when you tell them, they'll understand.

Just don't eat or drink anything but water for 12 or more hours till your blood is pulled.

I always take a couple of protein bars with me so as soon as they pull I am slamming them home LOL!!!

The coffee is the one that gets me; thank God my TRT Doc has one of those really nice coffee machines where it brews one great cup at a time.

They know me so well that they actually bring the cup in ready to go as soon they pull the blood.

Funny how we get into habits and how our bodies respond when deprived.

^^^You're right kel, not just the fasting but best time for Test and Cortisol serum levels and possibly IGF-1 as well.

Hope your appt goes well. I disclosed everything on my first visit and was really pleased with the outcome.

IMO these Dr's are looking for long term clients that "fit" within what HRT is all about.

I'm sure there is more to it but coffee would affect your cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

    Exactly.

The point of fasting is just that; one must refrain from any sort of substance or nutrient that could mask a panel and give a false reading.

    Thanks GD and Aus

I have the BW on it's way from lab as I type this so we shall see what the results are.

I am going to post a week 6 update entry on the forum later. I am super stoked with my results to this point and much of the help from the board contributed to it.

If you are going thru insurance just know that admitting to illegal drug use may be a problem long term with your insurance. Its just something to think about. If you ever try to get insurance thru another carrier and they get that info you can be turned down

Start a new thread when you get your BW and make sure to add ranges to each lab.

Well I went to apt today. Im not sure about this Dr. She is testing me for CBC, CMP, UA, ANAchoice Cascading reflex, Hgb alc, Vit D, Candida IgG, IgM, IgA, EBV Panel IgM, IgG, DHEA Sulfate, Cardiac Panel Homocysteine, cardio CRP, Lipid Panel, Berkeley Heartlab LP Plus3, Fibrinogen, lipoprotein A, insulin Thryoid T4 free and total, T3 free, T3 total, ultrasensitive TSH, Reverse T3, Thyroglobulin antibodies, then Free Testosterone and total test. When I asked about Estradiol she went and got a take home test. She said she had gone to a seminar 10 days ago on this and this test is better than the normal way of testing. It was a finger prick test you do yourself and send paper work to some place in Oregon. Then she let me know that my insurance wouldnt cover this part.

Along with heart rate and potentially blood pressure. Mine test those on every visit whether it's a blood work day or not.
