    Week 6 BW & Update

    Hey Everyone -

I wanted to post BW as of Week 5 of my program.

    Quick background:

Started protocol via Clinic and switched to local HRT doc after 4 weeks. I have been doing a lot of research via the forum and doc is great so far.

40 year old male, starting T Level 366 IGF 223

    Current Protocol:

Testosterone Cypionate – 300 mg Weekly
Anastrozole - .05 mg Twice Weekly
    B-12 – 1000 mcg Injection Weekly
HCG – 500 Units Twice Weekly

    TevTropin – 1.5 IU 5 on 2 off
Sermorelin – 20 mcg every night before sleep

Testosterone was reduced to 120 mg weekly after first Doc visit and will most likely drop again since I was targeting T level of 1000. I was surprised with this BW since my levels jumped in what I thought was a short time. Overall, strength, libido, sense of well being all dramatically better. GH took whatever BF I had away but I REALLY wanted help with nagging injuries and have not seen improvement yet. I will be having a V02 Max test tomorrow and Body Comp. Thank you as always for feedback and positive support.

    Hi Mytee.

Glad you're making progress! You definitely over-shot your 1000 T level and are on the right track to dial it back. 300mg per week was overkill as you now know. What did the doc say about your calcium level? Is it normal for yours to run high like that? Calcium is controlled by your parathryoid gland and too much calcium in the blood for too long a time has side effects. Read this:

    http://www.lef.org/protocols/prtcls-...rtcl-087.shtml

Your TSH could be a bit better. A more modern range is .3 - 3.0 but TSH in and of itself a a weak marker actually. Next time get a more complete panel is possible.

D is mid-range. Consider upping your D3 a bit. Not that your free T is low (jeez) but it will drop when your system adjusts to the lower T dosage.

IGF1 is through the roof. Awesome. I'm jealous actually.

SHBG is good and DHEA is perfect!

CRP (inflamation marker in blood) is a bit high. Any clue why?

E2. Does not appear to be a sensitive assay. Remember to adjust your adex dosage down relative to your new T protocol or you may crash your E. That is not fun by any means.

Overall I think you're doing great! Look forward to seeing how you level out on your adjusted dosage.

    Hey Kel -

Thanks so much for looking this over and for your input. For sure you guys knew that 300 mg/week was high and I quickly realized that as well.

TSH is something we are going to focus on and interesting enough - the link you provided re: parathyroid gland is something we are going to zero in on as well. I may be genetically predisposed to an issue with parathyroid and it's dam amazing that you caught that imo.

"Knowing the major functions of calcium helps explain why people can get a tingling sensation in their fingers or cramps in the muscles of their hands when calcium levels drop too low" - My calcium is definitely out of whack because I have both of these symptoms more often than not.

I already upped D3 to 5000 IU per day as of last week.

IGF - Thanks but my wallet is a LOT lighter to get to that point haha. I am very interested to see the role of Sermorelin with this and in 5 months, I'll be able to provide some better data since I plan on staying on Sermorelin long term.

I am a bit freaked out by the CRP marker and not positive what caused this. My diet wasn't as clean as it should have been prior to starting HRT so I wonder if that was a contributor. Diet is 95% perfect at this point so hopefully all #'s should improve or stay the same.

I will have an adjusted protocol tomorrow after meeting with Doc. I got the BW ahead of time from the lab :-)

With the new levels I thought it made sense to get back into lifting even though I was concerned about tendinitis in elbows. I was beyond pleased with first day of chest/back and should have a good winter of gains to look forward to.

Thanks again Kel and big bump for the help!
