How to do Injections
Hey guys I just want to make sure I am doing this right. My Doc wants me to do 3 injections a week of depo test of .3ml each. He gave me syringes that say "1mL syringe" on them, and also needles that say "25G" on them. He said he wants me to do inject into the stomach and showed me how to do it.
My question is about reusing the needles. He said at the beginning of the week to draw .9mL into the syringe, then the first injection go to the .6mL line, the second one to the .3mL line, and the third one all the way. Do I then throw out the needle? Is it even legal for me to throw out needles? Every doctor's office I've been at has to throw them in that red plastic 'sharps' container.

this is a new one! but still confused... he wants you to fill the syringe with almost 1ml, then stick yourself and inject 1/3, then pull out and stick yourself in another area, then inject 1/3 then pull out and stick yourself again in another area then inject the rest, then do this three times a week? did i get this right?

Probably wants you to pin 3 times per week at .3ml each time I would think(hope)..if not I'd dump all .9ml in at once, in the same location??

if hes doing SQ that would end up with a huge lump and will last a couple of weeks. OP, please clarify your protocol, still confused as to what your doc wants you to do.

Yeah, I just re-read his OP again and noticed that the doc wants him to pin his stomach. My bad.

No only one pin each time. So on Monday I'd inject .3mL, Wednesday .3mL, and Friday .3mL. That would be all from the same syringe that had .9mL and then at the end of the week was empty.
Do I need to keep changing which side of my stomach I am injecting in?

okay, bad idea bro, never use the same syringe, they are very-very cheap, these syringes are meant to be disposable. once used its considered contaminated, your blood will get on the needle, and blood exposed will get germinated and bacteria infected. if you stick that in you, you will get infection and its not pretty! only draw 0.3 ml and inject it all then throw away the syringe, you can dispose of it in the sharpies container, or do what most of us do, put the cap back, wrap it with bathroom tissue and toss it in trash!
yes change sides.

Use a new sterile syringe each time. Swab the area with alcohol and also the top of your testosterone container after the fisrt draw (first time you use it, it should be sterile). You can get a sharps container to dispose the used syringes in. Also, you might want to consider a smaller gauge than 25g. Perhaps a 29g or 31g. I am having great success with a 29g. Takes about 2-3 minutes to load and no problem injecting the somewhat thick T Cyp.

2-3 minutes to load the syringe? I must be doing something wrong because it only took me less than 30 seconds to do .9 ml. I could have gone faster than that but I was getting air bubbles. I'm very concerned now

You should get a sharps container for your home, put all your used syringes in it and when full drop it at a hospital reception desk for proper disposal.
Sharp containers can be easily purchased on line dirt cheap or from your pharmacy.
We should not be putting syringes in the regular trash.

Oh okay so the higher the number the smaller the needle. The disadvantage of a smaller needle is it takes longer to load, but the advantage is what, less damage to the skin?
Why not use a larger gauge to load the syringe and then switch to the smaller needle to inject?
And third, should I ask my doctor for this stuff or can I order online? He was the one who gave me the 1mL syringes and the 25G needles.

Lots of guys do switch to a smaller needle after drawing the test. Just less painful, less trauma to the area and scar tissue.

25 ga 1" is great for IM. For SQ I would not go less than 27 ga 1/2" and up to 31 ga 5/16. I use 31's. For IM injections in delts or otherwise areas where there is little fat you can get away with 1/2".

Where do you get yours from bro? And do you load with a different size or just use what you inject with?

You can get syringes from ar-r .com. Very reliable and fast delivery. I always draw with a larger gauge. Some folks don't have the patience but I'm a true believer in a dulling needle after it goes through the rubber.

For IM, yes I'll load with an 18 ga tip (which you can re-use) and inject with the 25. You can just google and come up with multiple resources actually. Most of mine are prescribed but I have used directlinemedical.com and like A said, ARR above.

If you don't have a sharpes container, you can always use a 8oz plastic water bottle to collect the needles in till you fill it up... Just make sure you put it out of reach from kids.
It's better then having loose needles floating around in your trash.

Why do you do IM vs. the subq?

Also don't forget to inject an equivalent amount of air or a little more into the bottle. It helps force the T cyp out by pressurizing the bottle a little bit. This is particularly helpful with smaller needles...
