    Blood word results, please advise

    Hey everyone,

I got my results back today. This is all I have right now:

    Progesterone- 0.5 ng/ml
    DHEA-sulfate- 151 ug/dl
    Testosterone , Total- 245 ng/dl

I'm a 52 year old male, and I want to get my Test levels back to high 30 year old levels.

I haven't seen my Dr. yet about these results, but this report states all levels are in 'normal' range- even the Test.

Could you please give your opinion how much Test per week would be necessary for me to get back to high 30 year old levels, using 245 is baseline. Also what would be the hcg and anastrozole amounts to go with that. I want to compare your opinions with what I hear from the Doc..

Another thing, I want to start a cycle of 250mg Test per week. Could you please inform me what would be the hcg and anastrozole amounts. Thanks a lot.

Hawaii, thanks for joining and reaching out to us. Unfortunately, we really need more labs to help assess your condition. You can refer to the finding a TRT physician sticky for a full range of labs that need to be considered. Granted, you're 52yo, so banking that you are sitting with secondary hypogonadism, but would like to know for sure. Included with that is the LH/FSH labs, and would also like to see all the available thyroid panels taken. Pretty much everything on that sticky needs to be looked at.

52yo is good information, but surely there's other things you can tell us about yourself (stats, medical conditions, medications, lifestyle, pertinent info regarding your situation). Yes, your total serum is low, as well as DHEA. Would like to see free & bio test as well, which would make a difference with where you probably want/need to get your total serum. DHEA can easily be replenished, as well as back filling pregnenolone. We are also going to need to know where your E2 sensitive assay sits before you get going too far here. All these other hormones will convert downstream, and if there's E2 concerns, it's best to address it now. Also double check your Vitamin D-3. Banking you're low, and there's a plethora of benefits with getting it dialed in with your other hormones (yes, it's also a hormone).

Incomplete for now, but take a little time to get familiar with the variables needed to manage an effective HRT program. Everything is at your fingertips here within this forum; whether the multitude of threads, or the informative stickies at the top. Questions are welcomed, just let us know ...

Yeah unfortunately its HARD to find a GOOD doctor who is up on HRT or TRT especially for men. Even my Endo is not up to speed and it's up to you/me/us to be more informed that the doctors usually.

You will either need to find an Endocrinologist or a longevity clinic.

Take a look at the sticky notes above in regards to blood work that you will need.

BTW I think your normal levels of Testosterone , Total- 193 - 740 is a little out dates. It's more like 270-1070 ng/dl.

Besides wanting to get your levels where they were in your 30s are you experiencing any Lot T symptoms?

That BW will work. Make sure you get a full thyroid panel please. Abstain from sex for app 48 hrs prior to your BW as it can skew your PSA results. Sorry!
