hCG dosage?

As part of my HRT protocol, I am currently taking 250iu twice a week.
My test cyp is currently at 100mg twice a week.

My question is how do I know my dosage of hcg is correct for me? What Blood work should be checked?

Did you read the sticky on HCG at the top of the forum?

There are many variables to consider when using HCG as part of a TRT protocol.

For one, are you Primary or Secondary Hypogonadal?

If Primary, it won't do much to help the testes but it has other neuro effects that are good.

If Secondary it keep the testes functioning while HPTA suppressed and does a bunch of other good things...read the sticky.

Generally speaking, if you are Secondary and on 100 mg of Test a week the 250 iu twice a week should be enough to keep HTPA intact and the boys happy...if you added another 250 iu in a week may be optimal...that's what I do.

BTW, there really isn't a BW to test for HCG other then a fertility test.

TMan, good question. Dosages and protocols are unique to each person, their situation, and metabolism. Regardless of the dosage amount, I personally like a 3x per week dosage protocol with HCG , as I experience more stable and consistent serum levels, and better well being.

Usually, you won't need that much cypionate in a TRT protocol, especially when adding HCG to the mix. A lot of it also just depends on if you're primary or secondary, which you should know going into your protocol. The best way to see what it's doing (or not doing) for you is to monitor it with lab work. If you know where you're at with just the cypionate, you should be able to see the effects of HCG by running additional labs at the same time of the week as your previous labs.
