What does LH and FSH testing determine exactly?
It's too late for me as I've started my protocol. I wanted to get additional information to be informed.

LH and FSH are hormones which are produced by your pituitary to stimulate production of other hormones in your testicles. "Additional information" is difficult to give, do you have any specific questions?
If you have low LH/FSH it may be an indicator that your pituitary is unresponsive to stimulation from the hypothalamus. This can be corrected as it may take a while for the pituitary to start production again after it has been shutdown for an extended amount of time.
Did you start HRT as a result of cycling AAS?

I unfortunately did not get my LH or FSH tested before starting my protocol. In the mix of it all it just didn't happen. I know someone who is about to go through the motions to possibly start TRT. The kicker is he is 23, so I want him to be armed with as much information possible when going to his PCP.
I have no history of AAS. I assumed until the age of 35 that my levels were normal and my life was just normal. How things have changed in the last 12 weeks since I've been on TRT.

Doesn't it also determine if you are positive or negative in certain pituitary functions?

Have him come here to learn and ask questions. Does he/you have his blood work available and could you please post it?
