A crazy thought ? Why can't men see OBGYN's for HRT
Right quick these men OBGYN's deal with female HRT and may have gained knowledge in male HRT as well ? I am asking this as my carzy natural chain of progressive thought ? Any one have any factual info with regards to this approach ?

Not yet but headed there with TRT level at (78) . . . . lol ! No I was being serious They do deal with women ; true ! But they are also well versed in HRT for women How ever they would have more Hormone knowledhe than your average run of the mill ENDO. So They help women and understand how hormones work where your run of the mill endo knows little if anything about HRT ? I am not joking here . I am just thinking outside the box ? Possibly to far, But no further than an endo with no knowledge and an OBGYN who has vast amounts of knowledge and Hormones are hormones The OBGYN would just have to research a lot less than an endo to assist males ?

A lot, (most?) of OBGYNs don't know anything about HRT. My wife's doesn't. Actually, the guys here have found that many Endos don't know squat about TRT either. I suppose it would be worth going to any doctor that had solid knowledge, but OBGYNs are probably a bad place to start looking.

OK so I have broad shoulders; I can take it , bad idea . I was just looking at it from the point of view that my ex went back to her OBGYN for Hormone balancing after 3 children. So some OBGYN's are knowledgable in Hormones and feel free to correct me if i view this wrong I know males and females have different internals just like Ford & Chevy . But an The " female Doctors " are way ahead of most Endos in the Hormone Dept. I am not Pronouncing a fact or even defending my question. Just seemed logical and you guys are the pro I am 53 and a noobie to TRT so I have no pre drawn conclusions I am seeking all opitions. I trust You pros and that is the reason for the post. Thank you for the imput. I think just for kicks I will call one I know and see how hard they laugh when I ask them ?

Op, nothing wrong with thinking outside the box. JV is on target. Doesn't matter what the doc's title is, just that he understands hormones and treats you per your symptoms and how you feel, not by a number on your lab report. Remember to call the doc's office first and interview one of the nurses about the doc's protocols (Test, AI, HCG .) Don't waste their time and yours with useless appts.
Welcome!

Could it work? Sure.
Is it common? No.
Is your time better spent looking at other avenues? Absolutely.

Hey guys like I stated it was just a thought obviously "way outside" the box ! I am older probably ? Than most of you and from a whole different mindset of hormone abuse when in my 20's . I was thinking Doc with hormone knowledge = hormone knowledge and he just would need to apply to male as opposed to female . I get the point bad idea. I am a guy who likes a good joke as well as the next guy ! So I guess I am the one the joke is on . No big deal I am a 53 year old newbie ! So in 53 years and a salesman back groud I have learned that you do "sometimes" gain advantage by not following the crowd but I do know that TRT is a serious event to under take and I expect great changes in my health and lifestyle. Just don't want to be limited to one Doctor and his opitions as I am teaching my doctor from info I learn on this forum and don't know how flexable he is in a pactient trying to change his way of text book old sckool treatment ? Seeking optitions ? Oh lol on me !

Buzzard, you are not even close to being the oldest guy on the block. Older than me, yes, but no worries bro. You just gotta relax and learn. Age is seriously just a number. You're all good man.
