    Low T testing - Swab ?

I'm only in my early 30s but want to plan for my future. I know they can identify testosterone levels with a swab. Are there facilities that will allow this instead of blood work? I had a couple of operations as a small child and have grown a phobia of having blood drawn. I can do needles all day but not that other. Its not really something I can explain to someone unless you have a phobia of your own and then maybe you could understand. I consider it a true phobia - sweats, shortness of breath, see white, pass out, throw up, shakes. Its very intense for me.

Here's a site that does saliva tests http://www.johnleemd.com/store/prod_stest.html

I've heard some say they're just as accurate as blood tests ...

I just had a clinician tell me that blood is useless for testing hormones. They only take saliva tests. That seemed really odd to me. Useless??

Tenn that may mean that they now do it in their office and make more money, as opposed to sending you out to a lab. Maybe, maybe not.

I guess, I just thought his statement that "blood is useless for hormone testing" was a touch too closed minded for someone in medicine
