Update on my Dad's HRT
My dad had a visit with his Dr yesterday and I gave him some info before he went in. To refresh your memory, the Dr is giving him 400mg every 3 weeks with no Ai or HCG . This visit he was seen by the Dr's assistant and not the Dr himself. My father brought up his concerns about estrogen becoming an issue with the high dosage of test and the guy replied with "we don't need to worry about that with what we're doing." He also informed my dad that his levels were still too low and he needs to come back in 2 weeks. I decided I will be attending this visit with him.
I forgot to mention last time that my dad is 66 so I'm not sure if he needs to be worrying about the AI and HCG as much due to his age. Also, he has had several stents, 2 appalachians, a pace maker, continues to have arrhythmia, also has presenting symptoms of congenital heart failure. I know that Test can affect cardiac tissue so should he avoid the HRT?
When I go to the Dr with him I will get copies of his bloodwork.
Oh yeah, is there a site to find an A4M certified Dr? I went to the A4M site but it warns you that the list is made of paying members. What's the best route to go? He refuses to make the trip to Michigan to see Crisler!!

you'd be better served if you post this update in your original thread, or at least post the link to your previous thread. his doc and his assistant are morons, they're doing your dad more harm than good, if you worry about arrhythmia 400 mgs at one shot will make that worse, however TRT should be a positive thing for cardiovascular system if administered Properly! what your dad needs is a good competent doctor that specializes in TRT. his protocol should start with,
50 mgs test every 3.5 days
AI as needed and based on BW
hCG at his age is still an added benefit, but most likely his doc won't prescribe it, if not no biggie.
donate blood every 2 months or as needed.
regular exercise.
BW every 6 weeks until he stabilizes
i bet your dad is having second thoughts about the treatment, i don't blame him if he does, he should feel allot crappier that before with this stupid protocol.

Your dad sounds like he needs to go to a really good cardiologist as well as someone who understands testosterone replacement .
But really , any doc who does 400mg every 3 weeks is a joke. They simply do not know about current treatments. You are wasting yours and his time, and potentially doing more harm to his health than good.
