bi weekly injection.
hey guys last month i was on 1% AGel and switched to injections. I told my dr about me educating myself on weeky as opposed to biweekly injections. And he told me to do it the biweekly route. So i did it that way to appease him this time. I have to wait until thursday to inject myself again. About 3 days ago i started feeling moody and i was quick to anger/irritability (I even snapped at my boss and called my wife venting about all the things i hate about my life. Unfortunately i even told her i hate our sex life) The next day was worse I wouldnt talk to anyone at work my bosses knew something was wrong so they didnt bother me i ended up leaving work early and i have called in to work for tonight. I just dont know what to do. I keep eyballing my bottle of test cyp just counting the days.

Man I feel for you. I think a lot of Dr.s are just too stubborn to admit that they don't know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING, and that what they learned back in the "old" days is always going to be the "BEST" way to do each and every thing. And bite your tongue if you...a mere PATIENT would ever even SUGGEST that there are better methods to do something to help yourself...even if it's been shown to be true by so-called EXPERTS in the field that you are discussing.
You just have to be lucky and find a Doctor who is open minded, and willing to listen to other possibilities than the ONE that they've learned.
I'm lucky that both my family GP, and my Endo were open minded enough to let me go to 3x weekly SubQ test-cyp injections. Hell, my Endo even told me that if I could find some Arimidex on the black market (since he claims he can't legally prescribe it for me, which is an altogether different issue here in B.C. Canada) to lower my E2 levels, than I should go ahead and do so.
Maybe you should get a second opinion. After all it is YOUR body, and YOUR health...NOT your Doctors.
Just a suggestion.
Good luck, man!

dute, it ain't your testosterone or your protocol that's making you an ass, it's you. just mellow down and take it one day at a time like all of us do. tell you doc about the half life of testosterone, its 5-7 days, take some literature with you so he can read it. if he's letting you do the injections hell then split it and do it once a week! I feel sorry for your wife, that's the worst thing you can say to her.

See if you can get Reandron (test undeconate). You will only need one shot ever few months.

You just need to keep it together until things get better. Even when you are on the right protocol it will take weeks, so hopefully you can take a deep breath and hold on for a bit.
Hopefully you can get the doctor on board with injecting once or twice a week to keep your levels consistent. If he does not agree, you can always buy more pins from AR-R (or whoever) and start injecting more frequently on your own.
You see a lot of guys taking about problems with their sex lives at this age and it can be made worse with TRT as your libido goes up and hers stays the same. Try to keep a lid on that for a while and work it out without hurting her feelings. You are going to go through a big change and it can be tough for everyone to adjust.

I hope you take this as the constructive criticism that it is. Like Bass said, blaming your assholish personality on a TRT protocol is bullshit. Reminds me of the old "roid rage " shit I used to hear about. It's bullshit. Just calm down & treat others as you would want to be treated, even if that's not how they treat you. Positive energy is contagious!

Sorry to be a bit more detailed i didn't say she was bad in bed i was venting about the fact that we work in the same place. Im in management and she is isn't so we have to work on different shifts and don't get to see each other but 1 and a half days a week, because of all our kids sport practices and what not. So our sex life comes to about 1 time if we are lucky a week as we are both not on the same time schedule. I wasn't telling her that she wasn't good at sex. She understood what i was talking about. As to the snapping at my boss I've been doing my job as a casino manager for 15 years and know all there is to know about my duties. If i do something there is a specific reason for me to do it. The fact that she questioned why i did something because there was a brown noser that was whining because i didn't let his fat ass sit down and watch a dice table since i had him standing and watching the BJ tables because of a temporary staffing level for 2 hours. Im not at asshole I treat my employees and friends great. I'm a great husband and father to my children. This outburst and the way i have been feeling is something that has never happened to me.

Also i have only been treated for TRT for about a month and a half. Im not used to all this my first ever experience was the month on the gel. Thats one month of maintaining that i get my TRT. Now all of a sudden i go with the injection and i can emotionally feel a change in me at the 8 day point. so for over a month i've felt wonderful like my old self now i feel like super crap. YOu can't just tell me that it's in my head that im some asshole.

Yeah, I can understand that you could feel the change, just don't let that be an excuse to treat others badly. Hey, we all feel like crap sometimes, hormonal changes or not. With that being said, your longer explanation didn't make you sound as unreasonable as your original post, & in regards to your boss, by no means am I suggesting that you let people run over top of you either. Best of luck with your TRT. Listen to the guys here, they know their shit & won't lead you astray.

I know these guys are great. I was just venting that i felt really crappy and i was trying to delay going to the gym to run off some of the steam. Thats why it came out that way, i really need to proof read before pressing send. After i do my BW this week im gonna chat with my doc about weekly injections tho. Hopefully that will take the edge off

Well, I will say that from personal experience as someone who did every two weeks injections when I began, that I COMPLETELY agree that I felt way worse that before I even started TRT. The hormonal swing was just too much, too much time in between injections, causing huge ups and even bigger lows. If you can only do one thing, get those injections to at least weekly, preferably every three days and Subq instead of IM, you will be right as rain, and it will kill the big swings within a few weeks if thats the only reason of course, not to discount Estradiol, other hormonal balances, and life itself)
Good luck man, its a long game getting dialed in, we have all been in this OH SHIT phase of things, even the elder statesmen of this site

I rather enjoyed that flick. My first thought in the opening scene was "Damn, aliens have steroids too!" LOL!
