Omg help needed pronto !!!!!!!!!
Ok here is the deal.
Diagnosed with low t about 3 months ago. My doc started me 200 mgs of cyp EOW. I went back in last week and asked a ton of questions that I knew he couldn't answer. I said is there someone that you could refer me too .. He said yes, there is someone and I will work with you and him if you want. So I went to see him today. Right off the bat he said that doc has no clue on what he is doing. Told me I needed to move to 100mgs EW of cyp, armidex and HCG . This guy really knows his shit. He has a 12 month program that he wants you to start. Unlimited body scans, unlimted lab work, weight training, they will develop a diet that works with your body and goals, body analysis and you can pick up all you gear & pct gear right there in the office. CASH ONLY for gear. Sounds amazing right ????????? $2195.00 per year for the 12 month service. If you can't pay upfront you can do 800.00 up front then 115.00 per month. Not sure if I want to pay soooooooo much money but on the other hand it's a one stop shop and 2 doctors with an amazing long list of credentials watch every move I make. And never have to worry about getting poped by the fuzz. Just not sure what to do .....
Let me know what you guys think ..........?.....??.??????.

Do most TRT docs not take insurance? Other than that it sounds too good to be true.

Well if you can afford it go for it, or you can at least stay long enough to get dialed in then take that program back to your Dr. that takes insurance?

Sounds like a movie honestly or a well planned sting operation.

what do you mean "what to do? sounds like a no brainer to me as long as you got the $800 to get started......100% legit gear AND ancillaries without question, doctors supervision, and no possibility of legal trouble....There is nothing to think about

You submit to insurance, all depends wether or your insurance. My family doc said he would get the scripts for me that he felt was correct for me. He didn't feel arimdex an HCG should be taking most likely due to not know this field. So I would get gear from them both. I asked what I I want to do a bulking cycle? TRT doctor said then everything will be picked up here. This guy is legit, he has 2 office in 2 different states. If you looks his name up he has an amazing list of being awarded awards for top surgeon, best practice etc etc. his practice has even open for 8 years.

Ask the guy why he is issuing you Arimidex when he doesn't even know your E2 score, let alone if any will need to be prescribed when you're only taking 100mg/wk of cyp. Many of us here have been able to minimize the dosage to .50mg, .25mg, and even no AI when breaking up the test dosage to at least 2x week via SubQ.
The guy didn't really call it "gear" did he?? Me say do some quick shopping around and seek a better deal! You can check the A4M certified doctor registry online, or even follow the links in the finding a TRT physician sticky at the top of the forum. Hang in there a little bit longer and there will a great alternative in Houston for you to go to!

Honestly, the $2,200 a year for all of that including the drugs equates to about $50 a week...and the Doc seems like he knows what he's doing.
In the economic world of TRT clinics, that's a helluva deal IMO.

Clinics that deal exclusively in HRT will typically not deal with insurance. For one, insurance plans often have very stringent guidelines on what it takes to qualify for TRT. For example, if a 35 year old man has the testosterone level of a 70 year old man who is borderline low-normal... insurance plans will often declare the patient is fine! Anti-aging docs have a radically different view (for good reason) because they are concerned with optimal levels. That's really just one example, but legitimate HRT clinics would be so overburdened with insurance claims and denials that they would cost too much to run.

I started at a trt clinic but it was $1600 for everything per year. Included 100mg cyp ew, AI if needed and blood work every 3 months. I finally talked my doctor into prescribing self administered cyp $65 for 10ml/200mg ml without insurance. Blood work is now covered by insurance. I am saving $1000 a year. Those clinics charge a lot because they know you have nowhere else to go. You can petition your insurance to cover the medication used. They will give you a form at the end of the year.

I am facing the same "option" via a clinic that I feel is expensive as well. My alternative is doc prescribed without all the "bells and whistles". IMO - if you know the meds are legit/quality and you can get BW then I don't see anything wrong with saving some money. Like HRT said - insurance won't cover a TRT protocol since in many of our situations, "we are in normal range". Thank goodness for this board to research and answer questions because this information is worth thousands when you directly compare it to what a full service clinic charges.

if insurance will pay for for part of it i say go. if not i saw tell your doc you want 100mg ew not 200 ew and blood work every 3-4 months and do the leg work... 1X a week is not that bad. e2w is pushing it.

My levels are so low that my insurance covers everything. 20 bucks for 10ml of 200ml cyp. He has no clue but what I think will be to my advantage is the clinic monitoring me and letting me know what I need then taking it to my doc an telling him what I need him to write this for me. I see him next week ad I'm going to ask for HCG . He already has given me a year of cyp. Most likely I will have to get arimdex from the clinic, I don't want to push my luck by asking for too much stuff that my give him the idea that I'm trying to bulk up. I think I'm going to take the plunge !!!'nn

If it doesnt work for you at the doctors then do what I did, start with the clinic then after about 1 year switch to an endo and take all your blood work with you. I did this and he said my numbers look good so for me to just stay on the same regiment I was on since it was working.
For what he is offering it's not that expensive. You could easily waste a lot more and spend a couple of years with other doctors giving you the run around and not getting any real help.Last edited by lovbyts; 11-24-2012 at 11:59 PM.
