BPH at 25 years old ?! please tell me what you think
hey everyone,
I went for an echography from about a week because i had an inflammation in my urinary tracts caused by some small kidney stones, no biggie everything is fine now.
Everything looked PERFECT in the echography, only one thing got me nervous, the doctor told me that the weight and dimensions of my prostate were large for someone my age, the weight of my prostate is 26 grams when it should be about 19-20 grams if im not mistaken. he told me its minimally enlarged and asked me if i have difficulity urinating and things like that.
I did notice from my puberty days that i dont have such a strong stream, and now it seems to have weakened a little bit more, but its not THAT weak, but its not strong either. but i dont have any pain or anything, i just hesitate a little bit when i wanna start especially if i am anxious or nervous or stressed.
The doctor ordered a PSA test which came out to be 2.26. Today i looked at the blood work of my uncle, who's 70 years old and his PSA is 0.5 !
Its worth to mention that i have extremely high test levels, my last bloodwork showed a level of 1039 ng/dl total test, naturally i am NOT on TRT, i have very good estrogen too 24.
My forehead is extremely oily all the time.
I am going to see an endo next week and seek his advice.
What do you think guys, should i test my DHT etc...?
Please tell me your opinion on this matter, thanks in advance.

wow 1039! thats explains your PSA levels being unusual for your age, and probably normal. get all the tests you need done to rule out cancer then start supplementing with Saw Palmetto.

Remember, PSA can falsly spike up if you ejaculated within app two days of your blood work.

WOW were you ever blessed with a strong HPTA...1039 ng/dl total test is fantastic.
I doubt that serum level is causing your slightly enlarged prostate to be honest.
E2 would be suspect but you are fine there.
There are many organs that can be slightly enlarged for many reasons and not of a major concern.
Like bass said; just rule our pathology and if all checks out go on with life.

I already did a testicular doppler echography and an MRI for my hypothalamus-hypophyse, clean as a whistle too, everything's normal no tumours or anything. I guess its just normal :s

The bigger they are, the harder they fall. This applies to testosterone levels as well.
