What strength of Testosterone does everyone use?

Just wondering what strength of Testosterone does everyone use?

My Dr. Prescribed Testosterone-Cypionate 200mg/ml however all the pharmacies in the Vancouver area (Lower Mainland) only seem to carry 100mg/ml vials.

    I currently inject .40ml 3 x per week.

If I were to find some 200mg/ml vials, would I still use the same amount, or cut it in half to equal the same dose?

Little bit confused....He prescribed you to take 200 mg's per week? Or he just prescribed you the strength of 200mg/ml vials? Also, How big are the 100mg/ml vials? Are they 2ml vials? 5ml vials? 10ml vials? Amps?

Sorry for the confusion. My original prescription was for 200mg/ml strength testosterone -cypionate in 10 ml vials. When I went to fill the prescription all the pharmacy had, or could get was 100mg/ml strength Test-Cyp in 10ml vials, so that's what I had to settle for.

My Dr. began giving me 150 mg injections every 3 weeks. After my second injection, my family Dr. referred me to an Endo, who happens to also be my Diabetes Dr.

After the 3rd injection I didn't feel any different then what I felt before I started on the injections, so I told my Endo that I wanted to try SubQ injections 3 times per week, and he agreed.

So now I'm on 3x per week @ 40mg per injection of 100mg/ml Test-Cyp which comes in 10ml Vials.

My current prescription is for Testosterone-Cypionate 100mg/ml. Inject 0.4 MLS THREE TIMES PER WEEK AS DIRECTED. I have unlimited refills for one year as of last June.

I find I get about 28 actual injections per vial.

I guess my main question is, does the strength of the Testosterone have anything to do with actual total testosterone levels ? IOW if I were to take 60 mgs per week of 200mg/ml Test-Cyp instead of 120 mgs per week of 100mg/ml Test-Cyp would my Total Testosterone level be any higher...all other things being equal.

Probably a stupid question, but I just thought I'd ask. Or if my Endo would allow me to take the same .40ml dose 3 x per week of 200mg/ml Test-Cyp if I could find it, I assume my TT levels would be higher since it's double the strength.

Sorry if I've made things even more confusing.

The concentration has nothing to do with your test levels...only the dose you take. You are taking 120mg/wk (40mg 3x/wk) and it doesn't matter if it is 100mg/ml or 200mg/ml. The only difference is that you would take half as much of the 200mg/ml.

If you took .4ml of 200ml/ml 3x/week you would be taking 240mg/wk which is too much.

As a side note: you don't need to take Cyp three times a week. Twice is enough, but you would want to adjust your dose since you still want 120mg/wk. You could take .6ml (60mg) every 3.5 days (Sunday morning and Wednesday evening for example) and still get your 120mg/wk and it will save you a lot of holes in your body in the long run. One less injection per week is 52 holes a year saved.

Don't think twice a week is stretching it out. You can get away with Cyp once a week but most of use increase it to twice a week for more consistent blood levels.

Thanks again, Johnny. I inject SubQ, and I use 1/2cc (.50 ml syringes), which I just bought a case of. I've heard that more frequent injections give a more stable effect, and less of a "rollercoaster" effect. Some have even recommended EOD injections which would equate to about .30ml for each one.

Killer I recommend you do as JohnnyV said. Twice a week is more than sufficient. Why poke yourself more than you have to. Make life easier on yourself.

Thanks Kelkel, I just might do that. I just hate to waste all those syringes though since I can't return them...don't have the receipt. I suppose I could always guesstimate an additional .10ml after the .50ml mark to make each injection .60 ml.

Would that help lower E2 levels?

My current level is 92.6 pg/ml, and I currently take .5mg Arimidex 24 hrs. after each injection. So 1.5 gr per week.

Just started taking the A.I. a week ago.

Will be doing scheduled bloodwork in about 3 weeks.

Is this the exact protocol that brought your E2 up to where it is currently? If not, wait until your bloods come back and adjust from there.

I think what brought my E2 level up to where it currently sits is my bodyfat level to be honest. I have been doing 3x weekly SubQ injections since March, and my E2 level has always been high. My Dr. wouldn't prescribe an A.I. (told me that he could lose his license if he did...I'm in Vancouver, Canada)...but told me if I could find some Arimidex /anastrozole on the black market to go ahead.

I was able to find some from what I was told was a reputable source, and was finally able to afford some Arimidex last week.

I missed where you mentioned you were doing SubQ in your first post. Sorry. Yeah, you need to do more frequent injections to keep the volume down since you can't inject as much as when you do IM.

No prob, JohnnyVegas. It's all good.

Hey, I was able to suck out a full .40ml dose from the bottom of 4 what seemed like empty vials. Better in my body than in the trash! Took a while to draw it out, but it was worth the effort.

    Roger that.

As an aside, AR-R .com is gtg on their AI's and SERM's.

    Good to know.

However, I'm always skeptical about having things come through customs. With my luck I'd get some overly nosy goody two shoes customs inspector who thinks they'll earn extra brownie points by asking too many questions.
