Just started HRT. What do you think of this plan?

I am 36 years old 5'11 180 lbs. I started therapy about 6 months ago and a friend of mine told me about this forum. I would like to know what others who have been on therapy and involved in all this longer than I have think. I started therapy to feel good , have energy, keep sex drive up . I have always worked out my whole life. If looking better is a side effect then even better. Not looking to gain 50 lbs and be huge. I am not 21 anymore.

1 cc Tes Cyp once a week
    30 units HCG 2x a week
    Anastrozol 2x a week half a pill

Please let me know your thoughts

    Welcome xxRude!

Well, how do you feel so far after 6 months on therapy? Have you had follow-up blood work done to check levels and make adjustments? If not, you need to do so. At the top of the forum is a sticky thread called Finding a TRT Doc. Examples of blood work are there. There are also many other stickies you should take the time to read. Self education is a wonderful thing in the world of TRT as many docs are not up to speed with it.

One CC at 200mg per ml is a high starting dose quite honestly. Most average around 100-120mg per week. As stated above, you need to check your BW, particularly for E2 levels to make sure things are in range. It needs to be a sensitive assay as well. If your in the states and use Labcorp I can give you the proper codes for it so they don't screw it up. Testing should have been done at around the 6 week point.

Further, many here split their weekly dose of T in half and pin every 3.5 days. It gives more stable test levels and less of a spike in E2 levels and has helped many members eliminate having to use an AI, which should be everyones goal. Less = more in TRT.

30 units / 300 IU's 2X per week is just fine. Many here seem to average 250 IU's either two or three times per week.

Anastrozol .5mg X 2 per week. The amount all depends on your BW results. It's very important you monitor your E2 level and titrate dosage as needed.

it takes time to dial things in and BW along with how you feel is your guide. Read the stickies and pay particular attention to DHEA and Pregnenolone which is part of the HCG /Preg sticky. Also read up on Vit D3, arguably one of the best supplements (actually a hormone) you can take.

Others will chime in as well.

Again, welcome to the forum! Stick around, participate and learn!

Thanks for writing in. I feel great now. I am more alert throughout the day. I have energy when I wake up in the morning. No more dragging out of bed. Never had any sexual dysfunction but man I feel like I'm in my 20s again. I do go to LabCorp for my blood tests. My Tes levels started out in the 300 range . When I got tested last they were in the low 900s. I have a full blood work up my Estrodiol level is 8.8.

Can you post your blood work complete with ranges.

Good advise above but need to know your baseline labs.

What specifically do you want me to put as my before and after results. As you know there are many things being tested for. I also realized I forgot to mention I am taking D3 once a week also. I am glad mentioned that you thought that was good.
